lol guess what I recieved this morning ?!
... a Motorola V547 !!
With a note from o2 saying they ran out of V220's and hoped this phone would be okay! Of course it is, it's so nice (and much better than a V220 - sorry!)

Has anyone tried to unlock these mobiles yet?
I've read loads and loads of stuff about unlocking these.
Many of us will need to downgrade the firmware before unlocking. Then upgrade back.
However, i cant find a full set of apps to do all these functions...just bit and bobs, and without instructions to do them.A shadowy flight into the dangerous world of a man who does not exist.

Got my V220 charger and manual this morning via standard post. Just in time for daughters birthday tomorrow! :j0

Still no sign of my DHL delivery .
Does anyone know what time they deliver till or if able to contact them by phone for a rough time.
I have checked online but all it tells me is that it is with the courier on his rounds today.0 -
They can make deliveries any time up to 5pm - 6pm I think (if they are the same as other couriers that is)Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

I received the V547 this morning - and it's already unlocked - yay!!!! :T

My phone still hasn't arrived, although the chargers and manuals for V220 came this morning by Royal Mail

Who knows John, but with any luck you'll get the v547, along with £50 (is that right?) for post of the month, lol, as quite a few of us have voted for you in thanks for this great thread.
I tried my current orange sim in one of my v547's and it worked, and made a call successfully. Does this mean it is already unlocked? Would I be able to use that sim without future problems?
