    September 92 was 'black wednesday' when rates went up to 15% (for part of a day) as the pound exited the ERM
    It's a health benefit ...
  • Wow. We're now consistently getting < -1% drops. This is a much steeper fall.

    Can someone with a bit of time on their hands plot out the graph of the last crash to the same scale as the BBC news one, so we can have visual comparison? :)

    I have made a graph on Excel (Slow work day) however I dont seem to be able to get it onto the forum.

    Looking at the graph though, it is certainly a much more gentle drop. You certainly wouldn't be able to ski down it as quickly as the current house price graph.

    ok, what I've done here is taken the same theoretical house.

    value of 100k on the month before the stats range begin.

    here's the 'old data'
