The zoo last year was particularly busy as it was a Sunday, may not be quite so busy this year but still worth going early. Main tip is take the safari bus to the top of the hill then walk down

For a limited time only the National Space Centre in Leicester is offering special free entry to Children over Xmas. If you havn't been to the space centre before its well worth the trip down with the kids, - full of exhibits and interactives including a 360 degree plantarium and Simulator ride. They'll love it.

From now 'til the 12th February, children under 18 and in full-time education go free at Eden.
There's loads going on over winter- I went last week- the ice rink is up and running (£5 per 40min session includes hire of skates) and everything is looking fantastically Christmassy. They're open late Friday & Saturdays 'til Christmas- and you get reduced entry if you arrive after 3pm. On these late nights there are lantern parades, choirs and Christmas craft workshops, so plenty to do- check out their website for all the info. www.edenproject.com

ive been looking for tickets for things to do after the Christmas holidays and have found tickets to the london boat show in january - and this is fab as kids go free - if they're 15 and under

it sound alrite as they'll be dancers, famous people, and a pool so the kids will have fun.. ive checked out their website and they have a late night on the thursday which is even better as i can check out canary wharf shopping - never been so should be fun..
