I had an email from tenpin bowling who are offering summercamp offers this summer holidays, I have just booked a game of bowling for the kids for £1 each. I think you can book in person, but I have booked online and there was no surcharge for credit card. There are different offers for different days, the £1 deal is on wednesdays. There are other offers like unlimited bowling, here is the site link
http://www.tenpin.co.uk/tenpin-summer-camp.html
I often take the kids bowling and book online (cheapest in past £2.50 for one game). I have a bowl club collection book and after 5 games you get a free game. Brilliant for rainy days!:T0 -
Hi,
this is more of a promotion rather than having to get a voucher for something, but At-Bristol are doing a summer offer where you buy a "passport" ticket, and this gives you 6 weeks of unlimited return visits (from 24 July)
http://www.at-bristol.org.uk/passport
Edit: I should add that Adult passport ticket (for unlimited visits over 6 weeks) is £21.50 and child is £13.90. Normal one off entry admission is £11.90 and £7.70
It's a science centre like the Science Museum in London, and it has a really good Animation bit where you can create your own animations, email them and continue to work on them from home by logging in to the Animate It website with your ticket.
Worth it for those in or near Bristol.0 -
Re TV shows:
http://www.hattrick.co.uk/ticketing/ have free tickets for shows like Have I Got News for You, QI and various daytime tv shows.
Re Theatre: for those living in London, it's worth joining one or more of the seat-filling theatre clubs:
I'd recommend https://www.theaudienceclub.com - you pay a yearly fee (£25) and then pay £2/show to see theatre/music shows. Most of these are fringe with the occasional West End show. You get to see a great variety of stuff and go to all sorts of interesting venues.
Alternatives are https://www.playbyplay.co.uk but they have a high £75 yearly membership and usually charge £3/show. They have a shorter list of shows but on average have more West End options.
There's also now the What's On Stage Theatre Club http://club.whatsonstage.com/ - they charge £35/year and offer free tickets. I've not tried them so am not sure what their offering is like.0 -
Grand Designs Tickets: absolutely rubbish, will not go through their system. Booking form asks for credit card details (tickets are free) and then does not give you anywhere to input these details, it then declines the transaction. Spent about 20min in toltal on hold to see tickets who initially spoke to me like an idiot (but you haven't paid... umm, tickets are free...no you have to pay a pound... no, total on the screen says £0... oh well nothing we can do go back and try again????!!!). They now sy their IT department are aware of the problem although the occasional order is going through correctly so they are not sure of the problem... but basically: go back and try again later!0

I booked some of these tickets this morning.
Can I point out that there's a £1 restoration levy per ticket and not a £3 charge per transaction.

A historical theatre group (community/ non-profit) called the South Devon Players, is doing a production of its play Gentleman Of Teh Road at the Double Locks Hotel, Exeter on Sept 12th 2010. Its a full length play, suitable for the whole family, and is the dramatised story of a highwaymans exploits in the area.
Moneysaving expert is not letting me post a link, but if you google The South Devon Players and go to thier main site on weebly, you can find all the relevant information on thier "current projects" and "bookings" page, and download a poster for the event on thier downloads page (click the link for the Exeter poster) sorry for the roundabout description, but it will be a good night out for anyone in the area. You can find out a lot more about the group, the play and thier run of this play, just by googling "gentleman of the road south devon players" as thier various shows of this play are advertised widely.
The Exeter show is the only one that is free entry though.0 -
Anyone know how to access this offer if you haven't got a copy of the May Gardener's World magazine?0

For those struggling to access the heritage open days website it might be possible to put heritage open days into your browser and the name of your nearest big town eg Google 'heritage open days guildford' - for example my local council has listings for all the heritage open days on it's pages.
Hope this helps.

The 10,000 free tickets mentioned in this week's email have gone, but I found another place to get free tickets, if anyone is interested.
It's diydoctor.org.uk, there's a banner half way down the page, click on that and you can enter your details. Please note, after you submit the page, the voucher will be displayed to print, so I don't think you need to enter your real address or email address details.0
