    Hi all
I started a post on the Welsh thread asking people for info on free/ cheap days out. Had some great responses including a website for a local council in my area (Rhondda Cynon Taf in South Wales) whatsonrct .co.uk

They have loads of things on and most for free, including food festivals, family days, carnivals, concerts, arts and crafts, fun runs.

Perhaps check out your local councils for ideas.
  • When you buy any Annabel Karmel chilled ready meal for your child - Eat Fussy or World Foods, you will find a Kids Go Free to Legoland voucher to use this summer – just tear off and ready to use.

Choose from Salmon & Cod Fish Pie, Beef Lasagne, Tasty Chicken & Rice or for new tastes, try Chicken Enchiladas and Bolognese Bake. At only £2.29 per meal & a ‘kids go free’ voucher worth £24, you’re sure to make a great saving this summer!

The voucher entitles one child (up to 15 years of age) to free entry to LEGOLAND when accompanied by a full paying adult. The voucher is valid for admissions from 21 March to 8 November 2009.

Eat Fussy is available at all Sainsburys stores, Ocado , The Co-Op, Budgens, Center Parcs & your local Tesco stores.

World Food is available at Sainsburys and Ocado (if you can’t see them on shelf, just ask your store manager).

Visit the Annabel Karmel website for more information and full terms and conditions
  • Our school had a leaflet about days out to local attractions called Local Treasures. I had a look at the website localtreasures.co.uk and it's a really good place to find somewhere to go, especially if you don't know an area. I typed in the place we are going on holiday and there were loads of places I might not have found. You have to pay £14.95 for the kids go free card but then you can go to any of the place on the website, which looks quite extensive. But the bonus is, the leaflet we got had an offer code which gave us £5 off the price of the card. I only have to go to our local farm twice and this is paid for, so I've applied.

The code is SCH09 and you have to ring 01565 658430 to get the offer.I don't think you can get it online.

    Hope you like:)
  • I love trawling through this section of this website but often find that a lot of discounts and days out are for days out in the south.

Here is the north is an activity club called Zest UK which is Lancashire based. It offers social sports and activities for families, couples and singles and is a great way to get out and be active with your kids.

They have lots of discount partners and many of the activities you just couldn't do yourself for less and you get to do them with a big group.

If you join before the 1st September using the promotion code PRIMARY you don't have to pay a joining fee and will have access to their many activites and holidays.
  • Just been to Future Gardens in St Albans on a 2 for 1 offer. You can download it from their website, futuregardens.org Great place to go and really different from traditional gardens. My neice loved the tropical butterflies and giant flowerpot. Hope that helps. I'm always on the look out for a good deal and somewhere a bit different.

walktalktour offers audio walking guides of UK cities - London, Edinburgh, Manchester, York, Chester - downloadable to iPod's or MP3's. A great way to explore a city in your own time, rather than follow a tour guide/group. Suitable for all the family. Tour prices range from £4.50-£5.95 each. Try this code to BOGOF: VL405.

  • There's still £5 off Local Treasures membership which is normally £14.95 for 12 months and gets a child in for free at around 600 UK attractions. It is quite a new organisation I think as I had not heard of it but seems to be just like a child membership to The NAtional Trust but instead of only heritage sites, it includes farms and mazes, boat/train trips etc so is great for summer hols. To redeem offer you have to ring 01565 658430 and quote SCH09 and you only pay £9.95. Not sure when offer ends.

:T A Longleat Passport lasts a year and is great value for money as you can go there as many times as you like for the whole year and go on/in all the attractions once. It works out at half the price of paying for it all individually, and if you go for a day and pay the daily price, you have the option to upgrade to a passport if you want to go back. We are retirees and go there for a cream tea sometimes and just to walk around the grounds, but we also do all the attractions spread over several visits. We get a really good deal as we have a blue badge, which gets the holder AND a carer a half-price passport.
Top Tip: Look out for online deals on their website around November and you can get next year's passport at around 15% off. Sign up for newsletters on their website and you won't miss out!
