Help - cooking with steamer
Comments

Must admit I googled Miele steamers and saw these too. Heaved a big sigh of relief! Have heard of them before, but never really thought about whether or not I want one. What do you think? Do I want a steam oven? (In another life time when money is no object obviously
)
I'd rather be a could-be if I cannot be an are; because a could-be is a maybe who is reaching for a star. I'd rather be a has-been than a might-have-been, by far; for a might have-been has never been, but a has was once an are – Milton Berle0 -
It's not something I'd really be interested in buying, and especially not at that price LOL!
Looking at that picture there doesn't seem to be a heck of a lot of space in the "oven" part that I probably couldn't fit most of what they're showing in my Tefal, which cost something like £20-£30"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

Yes thats the type, how lovely are they???
I have a little catalogue on them at the side of my bed, how sad is that lol!
They are my dream kitchen appliance........ but they are staying a dream, im not paying that much!!
I'm having a look around for reviews on that Hahn one mentioned earlier, expensive but looks strong and sturdy. Then I shall email and see if they do a rice steamer if I settle on that one. I did find a le crueset steamer but its only one tier, no good for a family of five!0 -
Have you got a dishwasher? If you wrapped everything up in foil so it was water-tight, you could cook as much as that in your dishwasher, which would take up just the same amount of space in your kitchen, and also wash your pots too! :rotfl:"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

The contact details for them are here:

Worth using pricerunner and froogle to compare prices.

I don't have any Hahn cookware, but I think they have a good reputation (although their web site is a bit naff and needs updating!) - their stainless steel products have a 25 year manufacturers guarantee too."The happiest of people don't necessarily have the
best of everything; they just make the best
of everything that comes along their way."

Curry Queen I take back 2/3 of what I said about you :rotfl:
Competitionscafe thanks for that. They are really the only ones offering the big sized ones in a good quality brand so it looks like i'll be investing in them. I've not heard of them before so i'll saunter over to the review sections in a bit and see what people make of them.
I'll post back when im all researched and ordered :-)0 -
Well after the help I received on here, I went for this I got the four tiers so i'll have plenty of cooking space!
Not the cheapest option I know, but with pans, I do believe you get what you pay for and I love cooking, so having nice pans is a joy (or is it just me being sad again lol!)
Cant wait, should get them in next couple of days.......... thanks for the help ppl!0 -
Ive had a 3 tier cookworks steamer one of those see through ones sat in my cupboard for about 2 years as an unwanted gift.Theres me and my brood of 4 in week.Plus partner at weekends.
