I put honey on my peas you know-
I've done it all my life
It makes the peas taste funny
But they don't fall off my knife..ESS0 -
I thought it might be rather like that. I can get very unhappy in the English Channel on a reasonably calm day, so that's definitely a no-no for me then.

I have absolutely no wish to find out if I can throw up my toenails! :eek:A penny saved is a penny gained0 -

I agree 100%..Brittany ferries do a similar cruise for £79 on their flagship boat, the Pont Aven, which is far better than the P&O boat!!
I have done both trips , and can assure you, that the Bay of Biscay can be absloutely awful!! It seems to go on forever, i think its about 220 miles until ya reach the English Channel, which can also be pretty rough!
Like eddy says, you only get 4-5 hours on land!! So in effect you are at sea solidly for 2days!!
I probably wouldnt do it again,a s even when calmish, the Bay of Biscay is enough to make me think twice! In this trusted place U can erase
Every tear that ever rolled down your weary face
All the time U waste in that paper chase
Is time better spent in these arms of mine0 -
Sister in law did this. sick as a dog whole trip. Even airlines flying back from Canaries are diverted from this region in winter occasionaly when weather is bad.0

Is there anyone who has done this trip or a similar route got any good reports of it being a nice easy smooth journey? or is this route really just a very bumpy ride at this time of year?0

I have just booked the Hull to Zeebrugge motorist mini cruise for 21st December. Been twice before, both times in February, this year and last year, and the weather was fine both ways this year. Bit rough on way back last year, when your in bed feels a bit like being on a roller coaster.
Hoping for calm waters across the North Sea myself this time.
Excellent value though, we drive to the City of Europe and stock up on wine, champagne and beer which are really cheap.
If anyone is going on that route and wants to check out where to shop there is a website with lots of information on here http://www.day-tripper.net/Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you0
