I think this subject has probably been exausted.

I believe that quidco and the comparison networks add to gas and electricity costs; you don't!

After all your rudeness you now seem to accept others can have different opinions to yourself, and that you can end the discussion, yet leave your rude comments up without doing the decent thing and editing them out.

Pls be nice to all MoneySavers. There's no such thing as a stupid question, and even if you disagree courtesy helps.

Someone with all your posts here should know that calling another poster stupid and silly on a board is tantamount to causing a breach of the peace.

Do it to me again and you'll be reported to Abuse.

    How will you like that?

I know it's hard - but let's stick to the point, rather than digressing into name calling, we are all adults after all.

Cardrew - I guess where you and I (and a few others on here it seem's!) differ, is that you believe cashback sites will add ADDITIONAL burden to the supplier and ultimately that will be passed onto the consumer.

However we can't see it would be an ADDITIONAL burden, above that they would normally pay out in 'advertising'.

If cashback is seen as an effective method for them, then they would simply reduce the budget in less effective areas.

Your analogy would only work if there wasn't any competition - if companies start charging more due to trying to offset an increased 'advertsing' budget, another would simply decrease the cost to compete.

Current price rises are due to wholesale energy prices increasing to all suppliers, not cashback sites or serial switchers

Please do! and let the moderator adjudicate who was rude initially.

You just seem unable to accept that your initial post was objectionable, and far more rude that being told your post was silly and stupid.

So if this counts as doing it again, I repeat your post was both silly and stupid.

    Don't lecture me!

Now just report it, or get over it!

I accept that is a valid argument, albeit one that I disagree with!

My point is that the commission/bubbly provides the incentive for far more switching than would otherwise be the case.

Clearly I would agree that the main driver for price increases is the wholesale price of gas.
