I think some people are missing the point on this money saving. We all have are ways of doing things and I don't think anyone way is right.
But a bit of fun always brightens my day, I must say thankyou for all the posts yesterday as It made me chuckle all day....

this post is rapidly turning into the tightest people post!!
when i am in the supermarket i always trim the bottom of the mushrooms (stalk) as there is no way i am paying extra in weight for the bit i am going to chop off at home and throw away!
and always ask the girl at the till if i get a discount for cash when paying the bill. Always haggle as its in my scottish blood, once got £10 off my groceries in asda by haggling at the till, was well chuffed!
Great stuff. I don't think that is being tight though.

Can you really get money off shopping by asking for a discount at the checkout? What do the cashiers put the discount as on the receipt?0 -

The credit crunch did spring to mind when I read this, hilarious though, I must admit,I was put off my breakfast by the stories of folks using their workplace as a poop station and leaving the place bowfing though!!! Do these people not care what their workmates think of them???:eek:This above all: to thine own self be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man.
