    But you said that if they had agreed to send their children to uni they should still honour what they agreed....but then said regardless whether they agreed they should still do it???

    No, I specified my own situation and made no comment over other people. You then agreed and restricted your answer to just agreeing if the parents had made the decision whilst together. You then asked what I thought of if parents had not discussed university - I answered that personally I would honour my childs wishes even if it was not what I wanted.

    If you want my opinion in general covering everyone - yes both parents should pay something.

    Neither did the post you copied in your first question as you had misinterpretted that post too :p

    If you want me to pull the sentence I read wrong, I will. Otherwise, shall we just forget that point, as overall we do seem to share pretty much the same opinion anyway for university aid.
