Best PAYG Phone Please?
Hi All,
After many years faithful service my phone has finally died so I am hoping to get a new one for my birthday next month.
I dont spend much as it is for emergancy/away from home use. I did have a PAYG motorolla from Orange which was OK but I am sure there are cheaper options out there.
I dont need any fancy tricks like photos etc as long as it makes and revieves calls and texts.
Can anybody tell mw what is good at the momoent?
Thanks,
Allison

Hi Alison
I was recently extolling the virtues of the CarPhone Warehouse sim only 'fresh' tarrif,

I couldn't find a cheaper deal for my usage needs, which are pretty minimal. Set up a direct debit & the only 'tie-in' is the need to make 1 call in every 60 days to maintain connection. They bill you at the end of the month & you only pay for calls/texts used. UK calls - 15p/minute all networks & 5p all texts. It looks like they are doing it on a Nokia 1100 for £29.99 with a £14.99 one off connection charge, but I'm no expert!

Nokia 1100 from Virgin mobile? £26.99 in total with free next day delivery but you get a SIM with £5 on it plus a £20 topup voucher so the phone itself is only £1.99? Simple phone but it makes and receives calls, can handle texts, no cameras or anything else to bump up the price apart from a torch to find your keyhole on the car!

then select "Check out our phones" just under the Blinding Phones header0
