Just wanted to clarify the rice issue

If you cook it and eat it straight away no worries :D

if you cook it cool it (run under cold tap) and refrigerate (turn it intio rice salad etc) and eat it straight from fridge (strange mental picture of giant fridge shaped bowl) no worries:D

If you cook cool and refrigerate then reheat til very hot (over 76 degrees)

    no probs either :D

The problems come from inadequate cooling, refigeration and heating

my EHO said that some places employ a magic tea towel to cover rice from the day before :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Hope that is simpler to comprehend

Not much got to go to docs to discuss my hospital appt (yesterday, sending me for an MRI in a few weeks ,..scary stuff ) and pick up a new sick note

Youngest school fair this afternoon made 4 cakes and some choc chip cookies

Must make bread and stay out of supermarket

Supposed to go on holiday in a few weeks not sure of the legalities whilst on sick ?? Only going caravanning to thetford forest not flying round the world

Just done my accounts for this month and i have only spent £100 on food so farincluding all my stockpiling ??? i must have lost some reciepts !!!

Might pop and look at woodburning stoves we are considering replacing lounge fire(leccy) with one and sourcing free wood but am worried about the mess we have cream carpets throughout!

Good luck with mr pig xx

Shaz MRI scan is OK if a little noisy! YOu get into one of those lovely gowns with your botty poking out (If you're really lucky!!), then you ie on the scanner & it gently eases in with someone chatting to you. If youre scared just close your eyes & think about a nice time - nice hol, wedding day etc & dream away....Its supa dupa cleaver and fascinating to see you like that!! PM if you have specific ?! Being a bit of a hypocondriac (?sp!) have had a number of tests including some "interesting ones to discuss at dinner parties!!"
Oh yes forgot to say I invited Mr living on not too much to come & see us so we could teach him a thing or three! Hello if youve popped over!! We'll having you baking bread in no time mate plus, girls love that kind of thing!! Tell a young free single woman you bake youre own bread & youre in!!! (behave!)

shaz - thank you so much for that info on yoghurt making. I've looked at the easiyo in Lakeland before but thought you had to use the sachets. As my main reason for making yoghurt is to avoid cow's milk (for DD and DH anyway) it defeated the object.

I've got a wide mouthed thermos that I use for soup. dumb question mabybe but if I make yoghurt in it will I still be able to use it for other things or will flavours taint the flask and spoil the yoghurt? (does that make sense?)

I was ok up until she prodded her fingers in to separate it and cut it in half

I eat meat - but went off sausages for months after Gillian McPoo explained what they were usually made of, and went off corn beef when I had a cheap lidl tin of it and it had tubes and rubbery bits in  Haven't eaten corn beef in over a year now :o

I might actually save that link and then every time I think I'm hungry it'll help me work out whether I am or not! :rotfl:

I have an aladdin brand one and it doesn't taint it does help to preheat the flask though

I guess if you can smell soup in the "clean" flask it might "flavour" the yoghurt if it does smell try soking with boiling water and bicarb overnight and see if that helps

Anyone else here make their own laundry liquid??

ISOM which recipe you going to use ??
