Just popping in...a still alive weezl but been babysitting alot (just off again in a mo!), working, seeing my new lady for age concern and generally failing on the budet front due to total lack of plaiing and time - thankfully balanced by the extra dosh I made babysitting although this months totals will, I am fairly certain, go up but at least I wont spend much next month as will be flat on my back from next Friday...
Mrs M did I understand correctly from your comments that your sister died? If so I am really sorry that I misunderstood - thought that she was very poorly but didnt realsie that it really was the last time you saw her in THAT way...huge hugs for you.
weezl I am about to donate the ant farm to a very ant loving 3 year old. He will be chuffed but his mum, for some reason, seems less enthused!! I got that impression after she asked me whether it could be kept outside - no in says I, thanks says she with gritted teeth & fixed grin!!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Hi there In search of me
Yep, sis lost her battle..only 9 months from being diagnosed .... we knew it was aggresive -but she kept quiet about it to the very end  .. the Drs told her that her hubby and daughter had to be told -but then they and i knew the timescale -but sis didn't.... brave soul that she was-she was sat in bed on the day we lost her -telling the doctors that she just needed a couple of weeks "to regain her strength -than she would be fine" ...the small comfort is that i got to spend time with her and that she got to go in her own home with her hubby and daughter there. It sounds bad..but for a few days prior i had said to my hubby that i just wanted her to close her eyes n go to sleep .. she was such a bundle of energy and lived life at full speed that she would have hated it lying there..and she couldn't take any more
So now i am following in her foot steps and grabbing life by the throat
oohh heck theres my life story
thankyou so much for your kind thoughts...it means a lot-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Just wanted to send big hugs to you MrsM... I lost a close friend last year - one day he was feeling a bit off and 7 wks later he was gone, but he would have so hated being 'ill' and like your sister, he lived life at full tilt so I think maybe not knowing he was ill was the best thing for him.
My thoughts are with you and your sisters family, you all sound very close and that is so lovely to hear.

Well im such a happy bunny..after all the tales of blackberrying on here... i was grumping to hubby that his golf course (cut out of a wood) has NO blackberries to be seen  .... hubby admitted that in all the years he had been in Germany he had never noticed any.... well -blow me down if hubby doesn't screech to a halt and start reversing... he spotted some :j .. he then sat in the car shaking is head at me as i leapt out and bounded through the veggitation like a puppy -to check them out :rotfl: -*note to self*-next time don't do it in 3/4 trousers and sandals -as i also found lots of the now famous "nettles" well they found me .... so Satuday we are off back -dressed for the occasion to collect what i can.. then just like buses-we turned into the NAFFI carpark and there were more :j -just not ready yet -so hopefully i will get some in a few weeks too  .... Now i feel like part of the "in crowd" :rotfl:
Anyway in the NAFFI i picked up- 2 kilo baby bananas
- 4x 1lb soya marge (suitable for baking)

Be advised, thread stealing in progress
Okay, so I'm planning a little seven day challenge of my own and I was wondering if I might borrow the powers of this immensly talented thread to help with my ground rules. My basic plan is that I won't shop in a supermarket for the seven days (starting monday), but I just wondered if I'd have to include the chinese supermarket in there, coz I know it says supermarket in the title, but ours is quite small and is not like a traditional supermarket like asda or tescos (okay, I may be grasping at straws). All input invited.
Thanks for letting me hi-jack.Now MARRIED!11/09/100
