Happy Canada day to you Bunny and Canucklehead.

Sorry to hear about your OH's job Louise but you'll manage if it comes to it - you are a resourceful woman! and the worst hasn't happened just yet, maybe it won't. Fingers crossed for you. x

Does everyone else have to now wait 600 seconds between posting private messages

I think the MSE techie team are doing something with pm's to stop spam bots sending PM's
    Hi folks,

Just to keep you in the loop...

As discussed already on this board, we had another spam attack last night and it's fairly obvious it's executed by robots.

You're correct in assuming that an upgrade on a Forum of this size is a serious undertaking but we're quite a ways down that road already. In the meantime, however, we're looking at other options to limit this sort of attack such as limiting the amount of addressee's on a PM and changing the amount of time between PMs to much longer.

I'll ask you to bear with us while we're working on this and can I also point out that replying to a spam PM is pointless and only adds to the resource drain on the servers, not to mention the cleanup we have to do afterwards, so please refrain. ;)

    Thanks,

    and
600 minutes? It should be only be 10 minutes (600 seconds). Could you confirm that please Trix?

    Hey Canucklehead!
Sleemans! I went to U of G! (drank thousand of bottles of that in my younger years) I'm Toronto born and breed....
I was really wanting a nice steak and jacket a la The Keg.

    Toto,
I'm down Thurs and Fri-I shall BUY those curds and poutine sauce off you!

I had to laugh-my childminder was having a 'Canada Day' themed day with the kids to day and I text her to ask what they did today and she said they made 'Beaver Puppets'!
OMG! I almost pee'd myself laughing...
