    Happy Canada Day to all:j

Not a good start for me to be honest.....

OH came home from work last night after being told that his workplace is being put on "reduced hours" for the next eight weeks to save money.

Will will end up losing about £250-300 a month from the cut backs.

Having no Payment Protection insurance I am worried incase the "R" word is coming although they have said that OH job is not at risk. Should I look into PPI for the Mortgage? I have had a quick look and it is around £25-30 a month for unemployment cover only and you cant claim in the first 6 months or be aware that your job may not be safe.............really worried today.

May have to plod on with the old business after all :undecided

Hugs to all that need them (giving myself a hug too) :o
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

    Morning

Am just getting my fix of MSE...

Happy Canada day to our Canadian friends. Louise - on the positive side they've said your OHs job is not at risk but it is a shame that they are reducing his hours so that you'll lose £250 - £300 a month. (((hugs)))

    Hey Canunklehead! You HOOSER!
    lol

I shall partake in a Molson with you tonight and perhaps see if I can find some cheese curds somewhere and have poutine for tea tonight!

Louise, crap news hunny. Personally, I would forget the PPI and perhaps keep your business up and running until cutbacks stop. Just my opinion...

    Good morning peeps

Lucy, I want to work where you work - sounds like great fun

Lou, I wouldnt bother with PPI either hun. As others have said, it's just a waste of money and chances are they wouldnt pay out anyway.

Happy Canada Day Bunny. How is is celebrated over in Canada?
