Shhhh! Should be doing other stuff so am sneaking on here...
Just wondered about all you people who meet up, what do you call each other? I can't imagine Marru being anything other than Marru now, and 'Good Morning, bails' slips naturally off the tongue...
(This is one of those pointless thoughts that won't go away).:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
The little house is looking even more appealing! Our LL just called, we're to expect surveyors soon, he doesn't really want to sell but they need a valuation! Then he asks do we want to buy it! :mad:I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

Ha ha, it's an interesting question Whitewing - I'm not sure we really use each other's names actually, except when introducing to other people.
Thanks for those websites EagerLearner, there's a couple I haven't heard of so very useful. I love the journals one, in the middle of trying some out. Might check out that book too.The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Well i have only met mumzy so far, but I don't think we really use each other's names much either. Funnily though I "think" about her as mumzy and not as ******* .
I often wonder what people are like in "real" life as opposed to the mental picture we have of them from this thread. It would be lovely to meet everyone sometime and see whether we were right about them.
maybe we should all buy a cheapie tent from asda and go and join mollymop in her field for a weekend.0 -

Hi sophiesmum.
I have to say that the way I am eating at the moment is all tied in with how I am feeling. I had been in quite a good routine until DH's death but now my stomach (itsy bitsy stomach) is in knots and I never feel hungry.
Before that a "normal" day for me would be
Breakfast.....milky coffee
Lunch..........Mashed banana on 2 small slices of toast or HM broth.
Tea.............HM chilli, stew, shepherd's pie, curry or something similar.I add grated veg where I can. Too much veg gives me wind
A portion size for me is a small child's portion.
I have to try not to "graze" as that fills me up constantly and is not advisable. I do have a small piece of cheese/yoghurt/apple sometimes but i have to remind myself to eat at the moment.
I have to concentrate on protein so I add extra skimmed milk powder to things I cook.
I am supposed to have a pint of milk a day but it has been making me feel sick recently.
I have eaten an awful lot of Rich Tea biscuits over the past month which is not very healthy. And they have to be proper Rich Tea not cheapie ones as they taste all wrong somehow :rolleyes:0 -
Hope you get back on track with your eating soon Janey, even your normal eating patterns are quite small portions, although I can appreciate that is due to the surgery.
I don't suppose food is high on your list of priorities at the moment though. I would probably go the opposite way and be comfort eating:o
Take care, X0
