HI,
I don't include my car as it is essential for where I live and what I do neither I include loan payments so if you take those off you will have £83.75 needed per week which is 2.97 into the saving box every week giving you £154.44 for full year!!

PS My mood is fine - I just want to save all the misunderstood animals in the whole world. I think I need to go and start with the one snoring downstairs.

hello bails: I made it over here at last
. Can you give me a website for yabber yabber - it sounds like i need to address my phone and broadband costs. I've always been afraid to change from ntl , partly as my lovely lodgers have the cable tv option (which they pay for them selves) and they have a different package of internet options to me too, but it is technically in my name, so I don't know if this would confuse the issue, and also can't face lots of transfer problems.
Marru, I really like your name. When I was young we had a beautiful wooden boat we sailed on called satu marru - happy memories.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -

Ooh - thank you. This was my nickname when I was doing my A levels and for some reason I chose it to be my alter ego. I don't think it actually means anything (checked my dictionary - no, couldn't find it).
Satu is a Finnish girl's name and it means "fairy tale" or "story" but you probably already knew that."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

Welcome all you newbies and 'oldies'...er....well you know what I mean.:D
Have spent this morning waiting for the man to service the back-boiler, only to realise, after I found the letter, that he's coming on friday and not today:o Honestly...I would forget my head if it was loose:rolleyes:
Tonight OH and I have decided to go on a 'frugal run' to Mr.M's. We haven't been for an age and we're getting withdrawel symptoms! We go at about 9pm so that they start to reduce the fresh stuff. In the past we have come away with some super bargains
I need to dye my roots as the 'Mallen streak' has returned...it does every two weeks. I don't want to spend anything if I can help it, so I need some suggestions please, to hide the silver bits on my dark brown hair.
Will let you know how things go later,:ALiving a frugal retirement without treading on the planet :T

Wow I missed the second thread completely I think
.
Well so far this year I have spent £1068.01 so taking christmas into account I should spend less than my 3k challenge for the year which will be very good :j .
I spent about £50 painting the living room that my parents have let us have. They are re-doing the floor themselves in oak as that is a feature where as the way I've painted the room can be redone once we leave (my parent's would have re-painted the room as it is so they do not mind about this at all). Considering I bought 4 lots of 2.5L B&Q colours (sandstone and classic red  for my japanese feel) as well as a few painting needs I think this was good. I still need to buy my curtains and lamp shade as these will also be to my taste and not my parents :rotfl: (they will be black just so you know lol). They should not cost me more than £25 for the ones I have my eye on :T.
Keep* is back up to £110 for me this month as I had it discounted last month to £60 due to looking after the dog etc while they were on holiday and it cost them WAY less to do that than put him in a holiday kennel (partners went from £130 down to £80 for this time for same reason) as it costs more than £100 to put the dog in for 2 weeks and a half  this saved them and us money :money: so that's using it to advantage lol. Need to buy some tomato feed soon but should not have to buy too much this month in reality for everything.
Good luck to everyone.
*keep includes most food, water rates, gas, electric, TV, sky, broadband and phone usage so I don't really pay for the rooms when you take this into account :T .I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy0 -
NYK - I will come to the party, i will bring some wine for us all :rotfl:
Well today i have spent about £20 ish and got some chicken drumsticks (ten of) for £1.59!! so they are in the freezer and also some miller rice yogurts (6) for £0.99 in Netto
spent some more money on DS hair cut and also headbands for DD and some earrings for moi.
I will update my spends later.
I drew my rent money out of bank today ready to be paid week today...just so i know where i am at with my money.. and i had £96.66 left over! I spent £20 off it tho.
I need to save it and not spend it because i rang up e-on today and my new bill for quarter is due on 9th july and its at £180 now for both gas and elec..so by the 9th it will be about £200 - £210 apperently. I also have a £100.48 phone bill this month too.
BUT i had a loverly surprise this morning in the post and very unexpected which will give me more money for 3 months... and im laughing inside because i know the person giving me the money won't be happy :rotfl: But i cant say anymore lol
Ive just nearly had a heart attack because my DD threw her carseat down the stairs and i thought it was her
