Quick BB, stop blubbing your acceptance, that's just the carpet fitter ;)
:rotfl: :rotfl: it was the 'man at work' uniform that did it.
Right that's it, all this talk of weddings, I now want one:D . Yup, & can I join the gang of - 'such a shocker me being in posh frock no one would notice anything else':rotfl: .
SL - that's great what you've achieved in the last 24hrs - excellent processing to work out which one to give up. Great you feel the relief(always a good sign you've made the right decsion for you.)
Mollymop, hope your DD is now proudly wearing a new pair of shoes - you did the right thing but poor both of you. Truama.
I had great cuppa meeting friend... and then got seduced by a charity shop bric a brac section:o . However, the way my accounts are set up it immediately shows how much comes off the 'what i really want money for.' And, the guilt drove me to spend this afternoon putting more books on amazon to sell.'
Off now to make my man pasties for his tea:if that doesn't get me a proposal, what will:D )

Music eh SF? I wouldn't have thought that; isn't it funny the ideas you have in your head of people when you can't see them! I guess it's the numbers work you're wanting to do, I assumed you did a more science-based degree rather then arts. Good luck with the rehearsal, I would never have volunteered for something like that, far too much of a wuss :D

Lol I wouldn't normally, but my mum says I'm not doing enough () so there we go! Its Scrooge as well, I've never heard ANY of the songs! lol :D

  • SF I graduated in May and I'm working in finance, so I can sympathise ;) I'm working full time, but I'm so exhausted after work. I know it is a different situation, but I thought it'd be good to know that there is someone in similar circumstances struggling with the transition from student to grown up.

I didn't realise so many of you were based in the South West. Now I can moan to people who understand the incredibly high prices of property/water/clotted cream :D

    :rotfl:That clotted cream's a killer aint it? :D

Ooh BB, maybe you could put a proposal inside the pasty? Cut it out of pastry, or vegetables? :rotfl:What did ya buy in the charidee shop then? Well done for selling some more books, I still haven't got round to do any more Ebaying (despite buying stuff specifically for that purpose - like I don't have enough carp :o)

  • I've spelt it out in potato chunks bails. The back garden was full of cute animals wearing pink bows & humming gently as I did it so I think that's a good omen:rotfl: .
Aah, taka, as for the charity shop, I bought a nice terracotta & glazed petrol blue jar with sealed lid I shall use for spices, following ,my discussion a few weeks ago, on how to keep spices in the dark if you have to keep them on a shelf. And a glazed green little dish which is currently in the remoska nestling between pasties, with the left over potato pieces as I over estimated a bit & a gorgeous mug that sell new locally for 14.99 & was only a £1, to use for keeping clippets in. Essentials you see:o . I've only sold one book so far bails, but another 8 are now up there for sale. I too have a small pile of ebay things I bought specially to sell.....last year:o
Ah, the west country - food wise that means Hogs pudding to me (inserts 'faint with joy' smilie). Which reminds me, I was going to order some as a suprise for my mum coz I actually found someone who sells it online.

. There are schemes where you do something for someone and receive credits which you can then redeem with anyone else, much better - is that Letts?

Yes, that's Letts - but it has different names and sometimes also different names for the 'credits' - often these are called 'letts' but in some parts of the UK they are called by other names. The only one I can remember is 'fumits' but there used to be loads of them. Skillshare sites where you have to exchange directly are a bit of a pain IMHO - you have to make that exact match with someone else. Letts is more flexible.

Sophiesmum - what can I say? I hope when I'm facing the big, serious stuff there's someone like you around.

Mollymop: be you one of us West Country Maids? If you had a friend who worked in Clark's, I think you be.

Nyk, I used to be a 'comper' and buy the special mags that told you what comps were running and what you had to buy. I gave up because a) I couldn't hack arranging all my buying around the chance to win a holiday in Florida, and b) there are people who just recycle winning answers over and over again, without any attempt to be original, and walk off with big prizes 'cos the competition judges don't bother to check. Oh, and c) I never won anything...

    Hello everybody!

I have had amazing day but now I am exhausted. I groomed horses and was able to watch chiropractor working on them. And of course mucking out. Next three weeks the place where I work has trainings and I am allowed to sit in which is FANTASTIC!!! After work rushed to walk the Bonkers, he was better today but still lots of work to do with him. Now I am aching everywhere and would just want to curl up and sleep. Just put heating on and also heating water for bath which I definitely need after today. I have to get DD's school tops dry as I failed to wash them over the weekend so hopefully they will dry on radiators.

SF: congrats on sorting out your employment, sounds excellent decision. Funnily I did my A levels in music college, did my uni degree in finance.

SL: I am sure you will land on the right job, just try to relax for a moment and trust that what is meant to happen will.

Weddings: umm - I don't care if it was a registrar office gig as at the moment it looks like I will end up as an old maid, and I am not really that good in being the centre of attention.

News: Our usual Thursday bingo place has been feeling sorry for me lately and has given me £1.- as consolation. AND in an other bingo site won £10 this week. Dribs and drabs but very welcome.

My brain stopped working now so I just need to say Hello to everybody else. :hello: Need to go and give DD a wash and get her to bed.

    Have a relaxing evening everybody,

    Marru
