Janey - just out of curiosity - did it stay dry long enough for you to mow your [STRIKE]vast meadow[/STRIKE] front lawn? (What??? I've seen the photos! It's a vast meadow that those sheep like to visit, not a postage stamp lawn :rotfl: ). Just wondering as IT'S RAINING HERE AGAIN and the washing's beginning to look all drukkit! Waiting patiently for DGD to get her shoes on to go get washing in! <grits teeth and smiles at the little dear>I reserve the right not to spend.

Janey - I know nothing about these assessments, but don't they know what you have been through these last few months?? I think you said it all really - 'you can hardly look after yourself'. You must tell them this - no putting on a brave face. You need to look after yourself. You've done your best, and now someone (i.e. the state) needs to help you. That's what ultimately we pay in for - the vulnerable/elderly/sick members of society getting the help they deserve.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0

Thanks everyone.
Nyk I am afraid I have contracted the sloth bug and I surveyed the [strike]lawn[/strike] field with interest and then turned my back
No, it's not raining here.....yet.
I decided to wash the outside of one of my upstairs windows. I thought it would be easy enough to climb out onto the porch roof so I could do it in comfort without twisting myself by hanging outside.
It was pretty easy to get out of the window.
It was only as I was sliding over the sill I realised that my idea of the drop onto the porch roof was a little off
As I was negotiating the descent, it did cross my mind that i might not be able to climb back in
When my feet touched base, I realised that not only would I have a little difficulty getting back in, neither could I reach the window I wanted to clean as I couldn't reach
After much huffing and puffing (with an interested audience of 2 sheep and 3 felines) I managed to haul myself back inside.
But the bowl of water is still on the porch roof

More August-born frugalers?
Maybe it's a Virgo thing? If so, then I'll change my birth sign to Frugo.
Just read an email alert about the next set of electricity price increases! Scottish Power 9% increase from Monday! That's even more kw units we'll need to shave off weekly totals just to keep up!
Edited in: just saw the next Janey post! :rotfl: Maybe you could just leave the basin on the porch roof as a birdbath? :rotfl:I reserve the right not to spend.
