Update from last post. Confirmation Email through now staying 15th October 4 days before my birthday did try to get anniversary but ill take the wife for a meal at a nice hotel nearby instead (call me tight but a 3 course meal £23 on a 2-4-1 deal through work :T )

Back to the Hoxton I beleive its near islington and been told by a colleague there is a nice place to eat called Gallipoli any advances on that are welcome.
  • So annoying they changed the booking format!!
Can't believe u now have to click "promotional rates" GRRRRRRRRR

Well done to everyone that did get a room!

I went back to the html link and didn't see a 'Promotional Rates' link on the screen - just 'Corporate Rates'. What do I need to do to get the right link? Just so that I know for the next offer!
But thanks for all the tips - better luck next time to everyone who missed out

Just rang the hotel to see whether anybody double booked the £1 & £29 rooms to see if they had any available from cancellling them but I didn't understand a word the receptionist was saying!

It said in the FAQ, that you can book a room for £1 for one night, then click the £29 offer and try for another room the following night. You couldn't try for more than one room at the £1 or £29 offer.

Well I hope I'm right, the FAQs have changed now.

I managed to get one night for £1 and one for £29.

what's the situation with confirmation emails? Last time I got one, I'm sure the email arrived within the hour - this time, still nothing......

The Hoxton isn't really near Islington at all. It's near the "East End" and Brick Lane if anything else...the nearest tube is Old Street.

Niceone for that. thats the last time i listen to a work colleague and they make me look dumb on MSE grrr!!
  • Thought I had it booked when I pressed finish reservation within a minute of the offer opening but there was a problem with the T&C page loading and by the time it did, and I pressed "I agree", it said that the rooms weren't available! I don't know how some on here managed to book 4 rooms in total (2x£1 and 2x£29) when the stupid site managed to stop me booking even one! I know from other forums that many others had problems with the T&C page.

Yet again, I am left disappointed! :(

Hi Robbie, the 10th August is a Sunday. Did you want the Sunday 10th or Saturday 9th August. I hope you got the one you want :)

    Thanks for looking out Sammy!

Thankfully (I must admit I had to check) I have booked the 9th which is what I wanted!!

Is anyone else (apart from me) still waiting for their confirmation email?

I'm sure I did get a room - but I clicked off the "final page" (where it stated "That's it!") before printing or noting the confirmation.....now I am rather worried.....
