If anyone has booked for Monday 26th August and can't go please can I have your room for my daughter and her friend? It is her birthday and she wants to have a couple of days in London and go to a show.

Something went very wrong with my booking and before I knew it I had booked for £79.

They say you cant cancel bookings - which i think its ridiculous.

I need to contact the hotel immediately. Does anyone know how I can do that please?

Btw, I didn't click on any promotional banner. Used the HTML link, put in dates and clicked on check rates. And there it was, the beautiful 1GBP!!!

Oh well none for me this time....not even a £30 room like I got 1hour after the main showdown last time......that flipping "promo rates" avaded me......

I'll just have to enjoy the 10th August, though not bad at £30 as these rooms look expensive normally!!!!

Missed out on a hotel room, but who could have guessed that the thrill of the chase would give such a thrill!

I had the countdown thing from there site on, got to zero and nothing happened, went to the booking form, rooms were £99 etc. finally found £1 link, still only 13.04 and it wouldn't load, what a waste of time!!

It would be interesting to see how many of the 1000 £1 and £29 rooms were gained by MSE'ers. Probably a hefty percentage I hope

Not sure if I got one or not probably just being thick but i got as far as them saying details are on their secured server.suppose i wait and see if i get confirmation email.

Oh NO!!! what if in my frantic rushed state to get a date I got my email address wrong and couldnt print out the last page at work the internet cafe doesnt have printer.

I didn't get a £1 room... that means I haven't broken my No Spend Day for today! Hooray!

Good luck with getting your money back. Just trying to do the same with Holiday Inn (thought I was paying £60 and paid £120!). They will not budge and do not even offer a part refund if you cancel.
