We are unlikely to deal with this idiot.

He is based in Virginia, USA and sells miniature lead wizards

I think I was well under ten the last time I felt the urge to have a lead wizard. :D

i (manually) bid in the last minute of auctions simply because if people bid earlier it pushes the price up really fast, well that used to be the case a few years ago but lots of people have cottoned on now! it is a bit annoying if someone bids with 3 seconds to go and wins it, but there you go, that's what auctions are all about. some people take ebay far too seriously!

i tell you what does irritate me as a seller, is when i list an auction and i get endless messages from buyers asking me to set it up as a buy it now. i've done this in the past for people who've emailed to say they need it before they go on holiday etc., but people who do it out of laziness annoy me a bit, and it seems to be getting more common now!

Perhaps there's method in his madness

If you look at his feedback, he stopped selling (or at least receiving any feedback for selling) in May 2004, and started again a week ago. Since then he has already received one negative.

I always place my bids in the last few seconds and I don't use a snipe tool, but I guess the seller would think I was.

    Me too

I like the ones where the seller tells you not to watch unless you're planning on bidding :D

Go on admit it, the moment you see that you just have to hit 'watch'..I know I do. I found one of those a while ago, she had about one line of description about the item and several paragraphs about 'idiots' that watch her BIN items, she even stated that she would report malicious watchers to ebay :rotfl:

Surely if you bid the highest amount you're willing to pay, if you're sniped in the last seconds it's because you were outbid and wouldn't have won anyway.

Depending on mischievious I feel, I'll fire up a load of dormant accounts to watch it, and post the watchlink URL on social networking sites. That can gain them a few hundred watchers in a space of a day...

I haven't seen any of these yet.
