Virgin Mobile - Clever Way to Increase Cashflow?
Following on from this earlier thread about overcharging on this months bills for some calls made on 09-June http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=968585 Virgin Mobile confirmed this morning the full (incorrect) amount on the bill will be debited from my bank account and the "automatic refund" will be as a credit back to my phone account. In my case this is just £6 but across the VM empire this could add up to a sizable amount and, if like me most customers dont pay many charges outside their bundle, generates an interest-free surplus until the bills next month.
Easy money from customers? An issue for Ofcom perhaps?

Another way of Virgin Mobile's to increase the cash flow is to switch customers to online billing with no notice (nothing on my last bill) and slapping on a charge of £1 a bill to continue to get paper bills. I'm afraid I don't buy the "greener option" excuse - it's a just ruse to save money... :mad:0
