Hey, I went to see Dolly last year, and actually went as a paying punter! I can't remember how long ago it is since I did that. I'll tell you what I thought after you have been :) I really did enjoy it but there was one little thing that I wasn't happy at all about lol.

    Hey Toto,
    I love Dolly-she's Brill!

I've had a bit of a crap afternoon...after a great start to my day, I went and visited friends at former job and had a giggle then decided to pop by in-laws to ask for another babysitting favour-when MIL informed me that she would like it if I could change DS' nursery sessions because she doesnt want to have him for a full day anymore-apparently he is 'too much work and gets bored' with them all day. Now, bearing in mind, she has OTHER grandson all days on a Monday and has asked if she can have DD once a week over summer-THEY arent too much, just my Joe. Now, I know I am biased, but my kids are good children-self reliant, easy going, not hard work at all and why is it just Joe she finds so much work??? I am convinced she just doesn't like him-XOH says she was the same with him and I'm sure that's why he finds intimacy so difficult. I was in floods of tears, who likes to have their kids ignored or favoured over another? I've talked to
XOH and he agrees we should just stop him going all together and then we won't feel guilty when we ask them to babysit at night-the best bit is SHE never babysits, only FIL who never complains. I really REALLY need a full time job that is 9-5 mon-fri then I wont have to rely on anyone else.

    Sorry for the rant.

  • sorry to hear that bunny. Its funny how it happens in families isn't it?
my MIL is the same, luckily she lives over the penines and in all honesty i don't care..she's the one missing out.
she used to be very tactless when DD2 was born as well, asking when she would be fixed, and what would i have done if i had known when pregnant? I had clues, and she never came with the offer of a babysit, if we wanted that we had to go upto Durham....And there has been lots of incidents since then, but as i say few and far between. My mum can be a bit like that, she only babysat if something was in it for her...
So i reckon you have the best of both worlds..less of their company and more of the children's...far more congenial.

Bunny sweetheart...if I could,I would (look after your littluns)....but I'm down here and can't drive at the mo. So sorry to hear...your kids are the best....and so, lovely lady, are YOU. It's emotional clap trap (being polite...bur control freak is yelling in my ears )..........please don't buy into it...you are far more worthy.

Big hugs hun...another solution will come along. You are resourceful, you will seek/create an opportunity.

    Much love
