There is a survey that appears every now and then & the screening questions go like this:
Have you climbed a mountain in the last 12 months?
Have you ever bought an elephant?
Have you ever bought a canoe?
Have you ever driven across the Sahara desert?
Have you ever swam the English Channel?
Have you ever lost something on a skiing trip?
Of course the answers to these have to be "yes." :rotfl:
How on earth do these questions help them find you a survey?0 -
Sometimes even if you answer no to all of them they still send you a survey (which you can still end up getting screened out of). I've seen more and more of these from GTM and from Nectar and just get so fed up with them I close the page. It's just that I find I'm more likely to be scammed (have to answer loads of questions which seem more survey than screening) and then get told I don't fit the criteria when I'm pretty sure I've just given them a fair whack of my time and many bits of data for them to use. I just had one too many scam-surveys following question lists like the one you've posted for me to bother wasting my time again! Could just be me, but it was enough to put me off."A dog will sit next to you while you work. A cat will sit on the work."0

Some I keep getting include "Have you purchased a Subzero or Wolf appliance?", "Have you purchased a painting directly from a painter in the last year?" and "Can you ride a unicycle?" - I've never tried, so I can't answer yes or no, but I have to choose one of them.
Exactly my point.
If you were applying for a credit card or loan and noticed poor spelling or questions that didn't make any sense, you'd probably give it a wide berth . I don't see surveys any differently; if you take a survey and want to trust they'll credit you as they say they will, they need to at least pretend to give the impression they know what they're doing and if they can't even be bothered to do that...0 -
I think its time we had a new poll about the best survey sites - some of those listed no longer exist and there are new and better panels not on the list at all. Valued Opinions is no longer the best by any stretch of anyone's imagination2020 Wins:

OK, I can put up a new poll, let me know if anyone can think of any new sites not already added to the list below but bare in mind there is a limit to how many which are allowed in an MSE poll. I'm not a member of all of these so can't vouch for feedback or if they're reputable and I think they're all open to UK members, but on a quick survey-police and google-search I've come up with the following shortlist (I think there are around 8-10 spaces available);
Valued Opinions
GTM/GlobalTestMarket
Nectar
Pure Profile
Opinium
My Survey
Maximail
Mind Mover Panel
Response Panel
Opinion Outpost
Mint Vine
YouGov
SurveyGoo
PaidViewpoint
MyView
If anyone knows of any more, let me know and I'll start the new poll tomorrow late evening.0 -

New Vista Live is a decent one. Should probably also include Toluna - I used to make a fair bit from them but gave it up as the £/hour ratio was way too low.
A year or two ago I spent a few months timing how long I spent on all the survey sites I was using, and got rid of all those that I didn't think were worth it. The only ones remaining were Populus (very good rate of return from this one, probably the only one that pays over minimum wage), New Vista, YouGov and Ipsos (pays in vouchers rather than cash). Shop and Scan (also vouchers only) is also worth doing but I think it's invite only - this is mostly not surveys but scanning your weekly groceries. I get a regular £1.85 per week plus an extra £20 every quarter in Amazon vouchers from that.0 -
Ipsos, OnePoll & YouGov
I'm lightweight....Frodo: I wish the ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.
Gandalf: So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us0 -
Dude you could be making $100 or more a day if you had put the same time into learning something like Internet Marketing for example. Could've ranked up some assets by now and should've been making lots of passive income every day.0
