Has anyone else had trouble redeeming their rewards with My Survey?
I did a secret shopper thing via Lightspeed in December, for which they finally credited me with 5000 points in February, but now when I click on the "redeem" button, instead of going straight through to the catalogue, I get re-directed to a login page for PerksPlus, which I have never encountered before when redeeming points.
I have never registered with PerksPlus and my log-in details for the MySurvey page don't work, so I am effectively locked out of being able to redeem about £50 worth of points. The "customer service" help button goes straight to "page not found", which is rather less than helpful and there is no explanation on the MY Survey page either.
Anyone else encountered this?0 -
Ah - just discovered that if I log on using Chrome rather than Internet Explorer, I don't have that problem and just go straight through to the catalogue section! So it appears to be a browser compatibility issue!0

A few things I hate about surveys:
1. Surveys that don't let me leave questions blank.
2. Having to do the same surveys over and over again (I have to do the "How many films have you seen in a cinema" survey about three times a day sometimes).
3. Surveys that take a long time - I just want to get through a survey as quickly as possible (but some survey companies don't like this)."A dog will sit next to you while you work. A cat will sit on the work."0 -

I have a few more for your list:
Surveys that ask my postcode, date of birth and if I am male or female.
I'm already registered with the survey site sending this survey; surely they can and already have provided this information, it's why you have chosen to send me this survey to try in the first place. WHY ASK ME AGAIN??!
Surveys that screen me twice or even three times. AND THEN GETTING SCREENED OUT!
The first time is through the survey site I am being sent the survey by (eg the headings are all from the survey site in question). When they are happy with my answers, I am then sent through to the survey itself (headings are all changed to being from a different brand but the questions are all a repeat of what I've just been asked). Then for reasons obvious to my answer (eg do you own any cars; no) I am then screened out after about 20 questions. No reward, no prize draw entry nothing. Seriously? How does this happen so often and how/why do I keep falling for it!
Surveys that tell me something like "this survey will take 15 minutes", then you click through, end up being transferred to the actual survey (after the screening) and are then told "this survey will take 30 minutes" or those that promise one reward then when the survey finishes, tell me they are grateful for my help, thank me for getting to the end of the survey, then pay 1/3 less than what was promised.
I could understand the odd screw-up but I'm yet to find a survey which doesn't change their mind on the time of reward specified like this. Maybe I am unlucky but it does seem to happen more and more frequently.
Survey Sites! If you can't get your figures to tally, just don't include them. That way everyone is happy.0 -
And another one:
Surveys where I've done about a hundred questions but still only completed 1% of the survey."A dog will sit next to you while you work. A cat will sit on the work."0 -
How do others find PaidViewpoint?
All I'm getting from them are surveys for me to carry on providing personal information, for each of which I get a pitiful 3 US cents and some 'Trait points', whatever they are.
Does it get any better, or is that it?0 -

It could be just me but I'd generally give any survey site paying in currency other than pounds and pence (or points) a wide berth being that there would no doubt be complications reducing any pay-out or postage you'd need to foot the bill for in addition to any other charges such as custom charges and other fees if anything was sent out.
I've not heard of PayViewpoint though as well as the above so I can't really vouch for them. If you feel they're taking the Michael out of your efforts to fill in their surveys, I'd just move on. Survey sites are widespread and there is always another who will suit you better IMHO.0 -
I agree with Jennie. I was using ACOP & originally thought they paid in £. When I had a payment by Paypal found they paid in $ so had to pay conversion charges & my supposed £10 went down to just over £6. They were quickly ditched.
Trial & error will find you the sites that meet your profile best but even then I have found you can have periods where you get rejected regularly.0 -
The annoying thing is, I'm not sure why I'm getting them. I thought I might have signed up after seeing them recommended on this forum, but a search shows that to be unlikely. I think it must be a change of name/identity by one I was already signed up to.
Whatever, I don't like their way of doing business, so account closed.0 -

....and another:
There is a survey that appears every now and then & the screening questions go like this:
Have you climbed a mountain in the last 12 months?
Have you ever bought an elephant?
Have you ever bought a canoe?
Have you ever driven across the Sahara desert?
Have you ever swam the English Channel?
Have you ever lost something on a skiing trip?
Of course the answers to these have to be "yes." :rotfl:
How on earth do these questions help them find you a survey?Money, money, money, must be funny, in the rich man's World!0
