Harris surveys tell you now that when you have finished a survey that you have earned 1 entry to prize draw. But if you go to your points area you will find you have earned the 30/50/100 points that they stated. When I claimed my last £25 from them.I pressed the back button[like you do when clicking for vouchers],and I got x2 £25 worth of payments.

I just lost out £15 Amazon vouchers, I'd saved and not realised (because I was given no warning!). I asked if they could on this occasion just give the £15 back, it was my first cash-out and I hadn't known about the cut off point. It had only been a few days after the money (or points) had vanished.

Nope, no movement at all. A less then interested reply just restated the same information I'd already known about.

I'm sorry, I must be getting old because I seem to live in the yesterday when people ruled the world and not automated systems, when customer service with things like this respected your time and effort rather then their own pockets when it came to very small amounts like this (it took me a very long time and many many many many surveys to get as far as £15 as few surveys pay anything more then pennies).

I even replied to the "no" and just got a similar automated message- its just a less then sensitive or friendly company and one I wont be bothering with again, I get the feeling they just don't care and even if they did, they wouldn't have the power to do anything. I wouldn't expect them to help me if I'd been scammed out of my time for a survey and can only prewarn others, in my experience not to waste your time because if you don't get up to the minimum amount in time, they just swipe your points and you cannot plead them back.

    The survey site in question?

Just wondering if anyone knows if there is a time limit for claiming rewards on vauedopinions, I've got £14 of points but don't really want to cash out yet. Will I lose out if I leave it for a while?

    Thanks

  • I'm sure there isn't a time limit with Valued Opinions.Just to make sure though, you could contact them and ask,or get in touch on their Facebook page.
They are pretty good at replying quickly on Facebook,or they have been when i have got in touch.
  • Forgot to say,i cash out on any survey site as soon as i have enough points/money.If things go pear shaped then, they aren't going with my rewards.

Why risk it? Nothing's yours on these survey sites till it's in your hands. Don't give the sites a chance to swallow up your points for any reason ;)

    Opinionbar is pretty useless.

You can't change any of your profile surveys, so what you said you did/do/had 4/5 years ago still stands. I think as soon as I hit £10 to cash out, and the money is in my bank account I'm getting rid of it.
  • You have to keep you eye on these sites. I recently did a week-long mobile phone study for Valued Opinions, for which the original email invitiation stated I would receive a minimum of £7.50. Subsequent emails said I would receive £4, so I queried it and got confirmation that the correct amount was £7.50.

Forward a few weeks, the reward comes through, and lo and behold it's only £4. Queried again, and got the extra £3.50 credited without argument, but I daresay most of their members probably don't check individual rewards to make sure they're getting the right amount (I normally don't myself, it was only because I'd queried it initially and it was a larger amount than usual that I noticed when the £4 appeared on my rewards statement).
