I have finally reached the £50 pay out for YouGov! You'll understand my jubilation when you factor in that it's taken over 2 years to get there! Although will now be leaving YouGov as it takes too long to accrue the 5000 points needed for £50.

Aww, don't give up with them! Yeah it does take quite a while, but I really like YouGov. Their surveys are really quick and easy to take, I think they're quite user friendly. Considering they usually pay 50p-£1 for a few minutes of filling in, they're well paying compared to some others. I like the fact that you actually see the results of the surveys appearing in papers or mentioned on the news too! If you think about it, if they did payout at £10 instead, and you had already have five payments into your bank since you joined, you might not be thinking about leaving now. It's just the high payout makes it a bit frustrating but imho when it finally turns up you can do something more useful or special with it. I get dribs and drabs of cashback and payouts from various sites which is nice to have a steady stream, but I love the feeling when I see a £50 on my bank statement, haha :o

I wouldn't worry too much about Pinecone, they're not the big deal some make out (or perhaps that they USED to be), but if you want to make attempts at getting into Pinecone, this site maintains working sign up links (exactly the same as you'd get from a referral):

Other sites I'd suggest are Valued Opinions, Opinion World, Vivatec. And though they've been a bit quiet for me lately perhaps also MySurvey and Ipsos (here's the link as it's not as obvious in a Google search: Ipsos)

Wow- am just so suprized at those that have taken 1 or even 2 years to get the £50 from Yougov. It took me about 3-4 years the first time and I'm now into my second year with 2750 points. I guess I'm not their prime candidate...

On the plus side, I had a fantastic January sales shop thanks to Valued Opinions and MySurvey, both took ages to get enough points but it was so worth the wait as I'd otherwise have to ban myself from all shops which when you pass through London daily is very, very difficult!

Then I have bad news for you, as it's not a lovely cheque anymore, it going direct into your bank account.

It took me just over 18 months to get my last £50

I think Toluna is having problems with a TV show survey, it's watching a 40 minute "brand" new episode of a new tv show, plus I guess around 10 minutes worth of questions at the end (after around 10 minutes spent getting to the part where they say "now we will show you a brand new episode of a brand new TV series", so around an hour in total.

The payment for spending an hour of your time doing a survey & watching 40 minutes of American TV show? 2000 points, which is roughly 40p. Thanks but no thanks Toluna. I've had that survey given to me to do at least 6 times in the past week.

Hmmm, ToLuna paying pennies for hours of questioning....guess nothings changed since I left 18 months ago then!

What's the difference - it has to be paid into your account! I don't mind how it comes it is still a useful amount.

I had 2 payments last year March & September and am over half way to the next one so quite happy with YouGov.

The difference is that the money goes into your bank straight away rather than waiting for the cheque to clear, which is good.
