  • Was on another freebie site called offeroasis and it said that if you join the Neilsen panel and download their software on your pc, you get an automatic £5 and for every quarter you stay with them you get an additional £5. So i joined and downloaded the software but it says nothing about getting £5 on the site. Ive even checked my account and profile and it just says that every quarter that you keep the software downloaded, you will be entered into a prize draw.

    Is this a scam?

    Thanks

Neilsen or any other survey that asks if it can download stuff on your computer, please be wary of. Unless your sure of how to fix your computer if it should go wrong or are very hot on spyware and other malware, I'd be wary, at best it could slow down your computer, at worse steal your details, and for the price of £5? sorry but it costs more then £5 of my time to fix my computer!

Others have posted on here about the stuff that took them ages to get off thier systems, some have had no problems but I think more seem to have complaints then those that don't

The link in the post above mine is for the survey police where others post about survey sites and its well worth a look.

well the worst thing was that they didnt even offer £5. I have no idea why that freebie site said it does! I looked at the police site and it seems pretty good but am not sure if its compltetly up to date with everything on the site but shall have another look later. thanks

I think the survey police rely on people posting to keep them up to date, they don't advertise so not many people know about them and it could be a US based site which means a few of our surveys are not yet reported on their site as more US people seem to post then UK people, maybe send them a message about whats gone on for you, they could look into it or it could even spark other people to post about their experiences. HTH.
  • Hi, I am also a member to a number of survey sites and I have found one of my favorites to be Surveyhead. I've been a member with them for 9 months and have already cashed out £117.35. I find it to be one of my favorites!!! They do send an occasional email saying there is a survey to take though if you visit the site I find there are several I have to take on a daily basis. I hope this helps anyone interested. Being a new member it says I can't provide a link so anyone interested in it just google it.

Also now and again I do get an email from Pinecone Research to invite others interested, though from what I know the link is only good for a short period of time after receiving.

I'd never heard of Surveyhead before you mentioned it elliot-waters, and after googling the name I found this site:

You must have been one of the lucky ones actually to have been paid out by them as there are plenty of reviews saying payment never comes!!

I have had £178 pound in 1 year from Survey head never had a problem with them paying out either, They do have a scam alert where someone else is useing their name so might be where the problems have been coming from. I even recently had a product test from them.

http://www.surveyhead.com/scamalert.html (please note this is Surveyhead warning of a scam, NOT Surveyhead a scam)

I reach payout around every 4-6 weeks they have daily $1 surveys (~65p) but if you not qualify there are usually a chance to try another till you do qualify.
    Survey earnings total 2009 £417, 2010 £875, 2011 £574

Yup another surveyhead fan here, have cashed out twice so far and just waiting for a couple of surveys to be confirmed and I'll be cashing out again.
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
