Could I be Pregnant??

Hey All,
Didnt know where to post this but thought someone could help me.
I went away for 4 days and forgot to take my pills with me. Me and my partner did have sex, but as soon as i got home yesterday i took it. I came on my period this morning, does this mean that i'm ok and wont get pregnant? I'm on the Cilest Pill btw.
my normal cycle is quite regular. I normally come off my pill have my period 3 days later and only have a period for 4 days. Last week it was fine, and it seems the same as today, although normally i have a lot of pain with it and i didnt have any this time, no warning what so ever.....!!
Had the last day of my period on 18th, was taking pill until sunday, forgot mon-thurs, started taking again on fri and started bleeding today.


Is sore breasts a sign just they have been so sore all day. wondering it might be my period anyhow but was a strange pain now like normal? xx

I think to be sure you really need to take a pregnancy test - yes it's possible you're pregnant so better safe than sorry

It is possible, but unlikely given your regularity, and the fact that you are now bleeding.
To be on the safe side take a test. You can still bleed regularly as if you are having your regular cycle and be pregnant, so it is possible. If you were pregnant you wouldn't be wise to carry on with taking your contraceptives.

Either do a test at home, or go to your GP and they can do one there while you wait.

I'm sure it will be OK tho'.

I think your period today is probably a reaction to missing 4 days pills and I would say its unlikely that you're pregnant.

However anything's possible, a pregnancy test won't pick anything up this early though so really you'd need to wait until your next period is due before you test.

You had unprotected sex, so yes, you could be pregnant.

Your period could be an implantation bleed. Wait and do a test.

Thanks for all the replies. I thought as much but just wanted to hear other peoples opinions.

Do i carry on taking my pill and then hopefully come on my period in about a week? if not then do a test, if i do then i'm fine.

What is a implantation bleed? xx

It's when the fertilised egg implants itself into the wall of the womb. This can cause some bleeding.

I'd go to the family planning clinic or phone them and ask for advice. They're the experts. In the main our advice here will be either just hearsay or personal opinion and this is way too important an issue to take advice from people who aren't trained. I'd def do a test too if I was you ....

When taking the pill you don't actually have true periods, you have withdrawal bleeds when you are on our pill free break. If you miss a pill and don't take it within the 12 hour *safe* period then have unprotected sex you risk pregnancy. You will normally continue to bleed on your pill free break n matter what. The best thing you could do is see your GP/family planning clinic as they're best qualified to advise on what to do in this situation.

You might not be pregnant now (but could be - the sperm stays inside you, alive, for a few days), but because you've broken the regularity of taking the pill, even if you are now taking it again, you may not have the protection you think you have. So if you have unprotected sex in the future, that could also make you pregnant.

I think you will have to use condoms now for a certain length of time, I can't remeber how long but this should all be in the leaflet inside the packet
