  • no offence, but is your 'not wanting to worry him' due to wanting to get pregnant against his will? if you'd told him you didn't have your pills while on holiday he might have wanted to use condoms

Thats kinda what i meant, i dont mean this nastily but my DH would be horrified with me  if i did something like this, and we are actually going to try for kids in 6 months.

if you are pregnant the last thing you want is to be on bad terms with your BF. Im sure he will be fine, but i would certainly speak to him asap.

    Good Luck.

  • sore breasts is always my first sign of pregnancy, the last time I just ignored it and just took evening primrose, kind of buried my head in the sand.

Getting pregnant by a bloke that doesn't really want children at that time, can be the most stressful thing ever and can end up in splitting up.

Go to a family planning clinic.

    best of luck
  • hi han,

the sore breasts etc. can be a sign of pregnancy but apparently it's not common to 'feel pregnant' or get symptoms very early on although it does happen.

sore breasts could just as easily be something to do with going without your pill, it changes the hormone cycle if you change your pill cycle.

if you think you might be pregnant and you would keep the baby if you were then it's best to see a doctor for advice, because things like folic acid really need to be started as soon as possible.

you should talk to your boyfriend about this - i am surprised he had unprotected sex if he isn't ready to be a father. it only takes one time. a doctor can tell you if you should continue taking your pills, or start afresh next month using condoms in the meantime etc. and you should probably be using condoms now if your pill needs to build back up in your system ebcause from what i remmeber of my pill-taking days you are not protected for the first 7 days

  • off topic but this reminded me of a friend back in university. she was sick on holiday from drinking too much, and she told her boyfriend that her pill won't have worked and she might be pregnant so she should not take any more pills in case it damaged any possible baby so use condoms instead until she knew if she was pregnant or not. Soon after that she told him she was pregnant so they didn't need to use condoms anymore. when they went for the 12 week scan the sonographer told her her dates were out by at least 4 weeks

she'd lied, and just crossed her fingers that once she'd got her boyfriend to stop using condoms that she would get pregnant straight away and he would never know that it hadn't happened on holiday, but 4 weeks afterwards
