Just had massive delivery from Mr T - £106.31  but that should be all tinned/dried/frozen/cleaning/toiletries/cat food for the month, only milk fruit and veg to buy I hope. I don't have a car and am about 5 miles from town, so it's worth the expense of delivery now and again. Got small co-op. tiny Somerfields and an independent grocery shop in the village, but prices are a little higher.

Did my first shop for this months GC and spent £72.10
But, it was a good haul so shouldn't be needing to shop for quite a bit. Did get a naughty whoopsie as they had one finest choc cheesecake usually £3.99 reduced to £2 - I think it would have been lonely on the shelf all on its own, so I did the kindest thing .....:rotfl:0 -
Hi everyone.
ive managed my 2nd NSD this month today as i started my challenge on 27th. its a lot harder than i thought as hubby sees were a bit low on something the pops out to get it. ive tried explainging if were low on milk maybe toast would be okay for breakfast for one day. never mind.
i made homemade pizza last night. got the reicpe of netmums. i left it in for a few mins too much was a bit crispy. they all eat it though.
i made a homemade leek and potatoe soup today - no one liked it!!!! hubby ended up making beans on toast fro himself the kids eat it as there was hm apple crumble for pudding.
was planning on doing a curry tomorrow. feel hesitant to after todays disaster. might swop it for one of next weeks meals instead.
Freezer and cupboards still overflowing i think i need to eat out of them to make room for more whoopsied potatoes!! still got 3 bags to do something with. oh i'll do cottage pie tomorrow that will use some.
anyway its so nice to see so many of us on here. i cant believe the amount of posts each day. it keeps me going, i find it truly inspiring - especially when hubbys home!!
take care everyone. karen
p.s off to update my signiture.0 -

wish my local supermarkets did decent woopsies. we have 1 asda,2xsainsburys 2x tescos 1 aldi and a morrisons not too far away. I always look at the reduced section when I am in any of them and all that is on offer is 20p off things that are in really battered and tatty packets resealed with selotape. I am really jealous.
NSD for me today.Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot. :think:0
