  • Hi I'd like to join you for the first time this month. Last month came out at £220.
I am going to aim for £200 for 2 adults and 14yr old ds.

I have obscene amounts of food in the freezer and cupboards so will be continuing on my mission to use them up. Am also hoping to bake more, as last month's spend was a lot of crispy snacks. Thanks for all your inspiration, it has been truly inspiring.

Thanks for the birthday wishes :D

Had a lovely day, spent most of it in the garden with the kids, although dd wanted to make a birthday cake so she could help blow out the candles. We made some small cupcakes. Her favourite game at the moment is cooking so hopefully she'll grow up to home bake rather than buy!

Mr T came today with £83.85 of goods. I'm doing ok though, as I've worked out that I should only need to shop twice more this month. We'll see ;)
Thanks to all the lovely people on here I have managed to cut my hours down to 2 days a week, allowing me to spend more time with my gorgeous Children. :j

i don't either mumzy, unless it says on that thread that there are good money off coupons....ie) the daily mail costs 50p and sometimes you can get coupons in there worth £2-3, so its worth buying 2 or 3 newspapers just for the coupons, if you see what i mean xx

Wow this thread really does grow at a great speed.

Popped into Mr T's for a chicken tonight and came out with £14 of stuff. I really must stop these impromptu shopping trips.

I will be doing my first shop of the month tomorrow after work and dont like spending money which really does end up as 'money down the drain'

Things ok at school today. Have politely replied to the difficult woman but kept my distance. Thanks for asking my dear.

I once had a mum ask for her child to run on the closest side of the track to the teachers, then I just ran along with her, holding her hand. It worked really well. Its quite common for children to worry about these things. The important thing is for them all to have a lovely day.
NSD for me.. Picking loads of raspberries and strawberries from our garden. Cucumbers and spring onions almost there...
    Take care

This must be a first (and no doubt last ) - doing my online shop and trying to get to £50 so I can get 5p off fuel...but I can't find anything to buy???? Should I just leave it where it is (about £32) or buy something to make up the extra £18?

Oh, for the people who asked for a couple of recipes from me - they are all stored on my other computer, which isn't up and running at the moment, but i will try and sort them out for you in the next couple of days :)
