It's only just halfway through my first day but already spend some of my money and still have to spend some more.
Had to pop into Boots and get some nappies changed as DH had bought the wrong size. Across the way is Sainsbury's (not sure if we're allowed to mention names?) and they are having a clothing sale. I needed some tops as I honestly cannot fit into anything since loosing some baby weight - well I can but when I bend over I do expose my frontage which is not a good look when you are teaching 10-11 year olds! I got three tops for £10 and got my daughter 10 pairs of socks for £2 and a swimming costume for £4. (The poor girl has been running round bare foot as I haven't bought her socks to fit her shoe size - horrible mum that I am. At 18 months she hates socks anyway!)
I also bought some of the basic mince which for this week is 50p for 400g. I bought two to freeze.
I still need to get petrol for the car and do my Mr T's shop!
Now I'm feeling a little guilty for spending the money!
Will update signature at the end of the day when I have finished my spending. Not all bad news as the next three days should be NSD as I'm back at work (I work part time). Also I always do my big shop on a Tuesday and it was just my luck that it was also the 1st day of the month!
I'll stop rambling and justifying myself now.'Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.'

HEV - Quite agree I love Sainsys too, unfortunately I have been lured (?sp!) into the dark world of tesco clubcard points and am addicted, free W/ends away etc.. Nectar points are nowhere near as good.LBM 17th April 2007:j

DEBT FREE AND STILL TRYING HARD0 -
just catching up on all the posts.......phew!!!
i'm still trying to recover from spending 95p on a litre of milk at the corner shop  i normally get the 2litre bottle of f/c and water it down :shhh: but they didn't have any, and DS18 was wanting some for her cereal this morning
i managed to make some buns in the BM to freeze, and i'm gonna give the iced bun recipe a go that's been posted on the first page in the next day or so
its lovely and warm here, so i've been outside most of the day, clearing away all the junk that had accumulated behind the shed. don't know where it all came from, but anyway its crammed in to black bags and the wheelie bin ready for the binmen to take it away tomorrow, ooh and i've cut the grass ( an achievement cos i hate doing it!!)
my 2 little yorkies, Ruby & Dylan, have been "at it" for the last couple of days, so i'm hoping she's fallen pregnant, cos i want a litter from her before she's spayed........i just hope i can bring myself to part with them, cos i'm a real softie where dogs are concerned
right, time for a cuppa i think now!! catch up with you all later xx0 -
My Mr T points from last year are paying for our accomodation this year for holiday and then the May ones came and I had enough to order tickets for Eurotunnel. So I've paid £140 total for 2 weeks in France in August. I'll need some more to get car cover but then it's fuel and food. We've also got a day out booked at Futuroscope on CC tickets.
Freezing soup- I usually line a mug with a sandwich bag and pour the soup into it. Tie the top then pop it into the freezer. If I'm really organized I remember to put the whole thing into the freezer so that I keep the shape of it and it takes less space.Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -

:bdaycake: Happy Birthday for today SOSH - hope you have a lovely time.
 OMG my total looks scary, I have reduced it by £100 for this month as I have done an Inventory of the Freezer and have enough meals planned until the 3rd week of July. Have done a big shop in Asda and stocked up on baking essentials, juices etc. So far the meals from Freezer are going well, my month started Friday so we had Breaded fish and HM chips with mushy peas, Saturday we had friends over for dinner and had a HM Steak & Sausage Pie, 3 of us had HM Thai Salmon Parcels thanks to "Delia's Summer Collection", a large bowl of salad, the leaves were cut from a large bowl of mixed leaves I have growing in the garden, Baby new potatoes, carrots, green beans and baby sweetcorn. For pudding we had a HM Chocolate Cheesecake and a Rhubard Pie I found lurking at the bottom of the Freezer. Sunday we had a Free Range Chicken from M&S, whoopsied from £11.74 to £5:D However, it wasn't as good as Free Range from Asda or Sainsbury's as there was so much fat came off it which had to be strained before I could make my Gravy - according to my Dad, as the Chicken was Cornfed they tend to be more fattyI'll take his word for it and revert back to buying from elsewhere. Monday we had the left over chicken in a HM Chicken and Mushroom pie and tonight we are having a HM Fish Pie.
Have made HM rolls, HM Tortillas, individual bakewells, shortbread and Twinks Hobnobs for the lunch boxes this week and made extra for the Freezer so hoping we can make the reduced target this month:o
Also, forgot to mention that I found some Minced lamb in the freezer which I have today used to make Samosas, used the remaining Filo pastry from the Salmon Parcels on Saturday, however, had a problem making them into Triangle Samosa shapes - can anyone tell me how I should have folded them to make them into the right shape- just telling myself that they still taste good no matter what shape but would be good if I could get it right. Have left them to cool and put in the Freezer to use on picnics in the School Hols.
Good luck to everyone, make the most of this great weather.:j"WASTE NOT, WANT NOT!"GC for OH, myself, DD18 & DD16 includes Toiletries, cleaning stuff & Food.
