  • Hi everyone, just updating my spends..and i have come in at £49.20 on food shopping so far....a lot of that has been stockin up on price war goodies and i am really enjoying getting into the food challenge with Weezl, some days i have hit target and others not..but it really helps to categorise everything, as well..like angel at graceland suggests!
    some great recipes as well..

It's not just yours. I had got my budget down to £260/month but OH complained loads that there wasnt enough snacky carp in the house so I gave up bothering to bake stuff for him (which I shouldnt have been doing anyway cos I've got ME and need to rest) and now I [strike]spend[/strike] waste about £10-20 a week on rubbish for him. I expect he spends that amount again on stuff from his own pocket money that he gives himself too plus I think he gets his lunch from the bakery near his work a lot of the time too cos he never seems to take a lunch with him even when I buy him stuff for sandwiches/etc.. And if he buys something from MrT he gives me the receipt and expects me to reimburse him from the grocery budget  I never do unless its something I asked him to get. It is his money though so he can do what he wants with it I suppose

It just annoys me sometimes the amount that I could cut back.

Buying loads of rubbish is good for my diet though because I wont eat it, but if I was baking all the time I would eat it so I guess its a good thing.

Evening all. Just been updating my figures £99.62 so far this month, which finishes a week on Sunday. It might look like we're doing extremely well again but just shows how much stocks we had in. Admittedly now the freezer is looking very bare, I feel extreme discomfort due to the lack of food in there (I'm a horder and 2 full freezers is more my comfort zone) but I will no doubt find more than I thought I had when I go to sort through now (next mission)

Hope you are all doing well xxx

As for partners, not taking mine with me, ignoring him (because we've been arguing) and pretending I've forgot to get what he asked for has worked for me so far. Instead of asking what he wants for dinner lately I've just been making it, he's moaned start to finish on 2 occasions but sharp buttons it when he's told to make his own.
One day I might be more organised...........

Just had dinner which consisted of leftover rice, so I made egg fried rice,, with stir fry and a little grated cheese on top and it was pretty good

We must be having the lamb tomoz and I think DH will be cooking and I will be in the garden and feeding the fish ,,,

Angelnikki I know how you feel about the snacks brought 2 big bags of crisps normally it will last me a month but since thurday I am down to my last pk. Glad he goes back to work tomorrow.

I spent £10.74 at Mr A was hoping not so spending anymore till next week but I had a bad day spent 2 hrs up A&E due to me falling down stairs badly brused arm but wanted to gat baby check out. All ok but didn't feel like cooking so got first takeaway this month pizza from Mr A and chips from chippy. I did also buy a very nice chocolate & cream cake I think I needed it.
Mr A also didn't charge me for all of my shopping again:j it was only 28p for a lemon they forgot but thats now £6.50 this week.

Shouldn't have to spend anymore this month as I have so much food in house and enough potatoes and runner beans from garden so shouldn't need any veg.

Chard, that's a versatile veg eh? What I like to do with it is put it at the back of the fridge, gently leaning against some mustard. Though I am willing to be humble on this occasion and learn something new from you all... ;)
