angelnikki your peppers look a bit too wet I'd let them dry out a little not all the way but a bit, I have a few little ones but I shall be keeping them indoors as its a bit too cold outside and a little late, but hopefully we will get a few. you need to put them in bigger pots with potting compost, but I would keep them indoors and feed them with tomato food

Thanks. lol I know they are a bit too wet but I've got ME so I'm really forgetful and keep forgetting to water them so I put loads on them today :o Because of how OH planted them they dont have any drainage either. I've put some upside down grape punnets over them to make mini green houses So fingers crossed that works. Hopefuly we'll both get a few. :) My tomato plants outside are looking great though and have loads of flowers on them :D Do you think the house plant compost will make them unsafe to eat or is that just an odd question?

Turbo yep thats right just replace with SR flour - If you're worried they're gonna rise up too much then just half the amount of baking powder. (shouldnt be a problem though as the recipe I use has 1tbsp baking powder)

Ahhhhh, so sorry to hear MrsM's news. Huge virtual hugs to you and your family, MrsM.

Feeling very proud of myself today. Made a huge batch of shepherds pie last night and now have 6 portions in the freezer:T Someone at OH's work suggested the iced buns I made for him to take in yesterday were so good I should make them for a living (don't think I'd earn enough to pay the mortgage tho!) And today someone he works with took in a packet of Hob Nobs and he was telling them how the ones I made were much nicer :D So now his colleagues want me to make some for them as well! Had better get to it, as I also need to get a loaf going in the BM for his sandwiches tomorrow.

I'm almost beginning to feel like some kind of domestic goddess! :rotfl:

denisefowler instead of just adding to the pages of your recipes,, I make a separate word doc for each and save them in a folder called recipes on the desktop,, if you right click on the desktop you can make a new folder, and name it anything you want

    see you soon

Yes, I thought of that after (then I would have a nice index in the folder eh! :D ), but by then I had about 30 different things on the one document, and thought it would take too long to split up - brain was def not switched on when I started that one! :o

Just caught up with this thread. Not been on for a few days due to helping my mum.

Not been to the supermarket for a few days, but will have to venture there at some point over the next few days because we are running out of fresh fruit and veg.

What our school has done the last few times they have had a non-uniform day have had the kids "pay" with items for the tombola stall, then it is a win win situation, parents don't get asked on all sides for money and donations and also the tombola stall gets items.

The next non-uniform day is Tuesaday and this time it is a childrens craft paymetn ready for teh summer fayre the following weekend.

Thats a great idea as our school then asks for those bits too, which im not so helpful in giving. Think Ill pop a note into them about that.

I'm not that organised - have printed the recipes off and stuck them in a lined book which sits in the kitchen on a shelf with other recipes I found. I used to stick them in the Delia - how to cook book, but used up all blank pages!!

    Hi Nikki :A

I think house plant compost and potting compost may be the same thing :T ,,,, any will do as long as you feed them when they get some flowers on,, but i think they need to go in bigger pots, when they have four leaves on ,,,, but dont touch the stem when you repot them,,,, hold them by the leaves ,,,, :D

Ha, you see, to me that is much more organised - I currently have little slips of paper in a messy pile of my regular 'cooking' stuff ready to use and have to bring the laptop into the kitchen for the rest - your's is a much easier system...

It's a funny old world we live in! lucky we're all so different or we'd never learn anything eh! :D
