ARGOS CLEARANCE SALE MARK XIX

Sorry I know this is a bit off topic, but I know some of you have been buying things and posting on to others.
I have managed to place a duplicate order at Boots and another moneysaver wants this item. I do have the option to return it to Boots, but would prefer to help the other moneysaver out by selling it to her(at cost + p&p).
The thing is the other moneysaver is relatively new to the site, so I don't know much about her. I have no reason whatsoever to think this person is not what she says she is, but this is the net. :-/
Is there a way to protect myself and still sell to her?
Hoping someone can help
Thanks
Pink
If it is a slimline PS2then maybe she would consider a trip out to collect it. They are rare as hens teeth so I think that is a reasonable request. ;D
Nice to save.0 -
During this whole thread there has been quite an element of trust and camaraderie of which i have never seen on any other boards.
hopefully tomorrow i will be sending a cheque off to someone i have never met before either.
Have you spoken to the person ?
Do you both have a paypal account ?
Or wait until you have cleared funds before posting the item.
Albalad....would that cheque be coming to me for some phones
Only....I haven't collected them yet....pick up tomorrow afternoon. I'll pm you when I've got them, posted them....and when you receive them you can send the cheque. I do it this way as I have the insurance certificate from the post office....and it pays out up to £500 ;D

Difficult one Pink as I tend to judge a person by their posts and if they haven't posted anything other than a couple of Lols or I agree etc it doesn't give you much to go on and so I would say no.
I have always advocated against an official swap on here for these very reasons, there will always be someone who will sign up just to get the "easy" bargain. However, Martin kindly agreed for this to happen on the Argos thread although I doubt even he thought it would go on this longand it has worked very well. I did nearly have a heart attack this week when a parcel of mine didn't arrive when expected but fortunately it turned up okay. I also have a hall full of goods awaiting a visit from Aliasajo, who has already paid me via bank transfer for the goods so she is trusting me that these things don't get wrapped up and put under MY tree
BUT I have had email and telephone contact with Aliasajo and therefore happy to help her out. So my advice is get a feel for the person and go with that feeling, if she is not happy with that then you are better out of it.0 -

Good Luck - if she wants it she'll post a cheque to you but at the same time might be worried you won't send the goods :-/. I got something for someone off here who I didn't know and had it for a couple of weeks before money and posting was exchanged. She paid it directly into my b/s account. After correspondence I felt I could trust her enough to do this as she had asked if she could pay this way as it would be quicker. Perhaps you need to "talk" more to gain your trust because £100 is an awful lot of money. I also send it special delivery and got a receipt which we both agreed was the best way to send so she received it. HTH
Hesjane - have pm'd you re your above posting.0
