Think I'll go and ride tomorrow, that should blow some cobwebs away and then sit down and do another scary SOA. Probably won't post it. If we can wing it to July things will be easier as the car is paid for then and it frees up £200. The only trouble is its a long way away and we have 2 MOTs coming up not to mention the tax to find.

Ok, so 6 months until July, when things will be a little easier.........

grab a pad of paper, pens, calculator and a coffee or two........get the SOA done to its absolute bare bones - remember it is only for 6 months - you can manage without most things for 6 months without too much difficulty......it is a challenge!

Then, work out what you still NEED to find - say £500 a month for example - to cover the stuff you must have - then break that down into targets eg

    - make £100 a month from ebay
    - from Easter, do one car boot a month
    - temp work
    - mystery shopping
    - matched betting

etc etc......that way it becomes doable rather than scary. And remember you CAN do this - 6 months will fly by, and if you can manage for 6 months, you can hammer the debt down quicker after that.

Of course, in the meantime, a job is likely to come your way, so it will be much less than 6 months.

No, not the cost of a horse at all.....£35 ebay, £10 dooyoo reviews, £10 mystery shopping, £10 daily clicks and £5 extra cut from the grocery budget........

It is only a matter of the £10 a day challenge.......

just pick something you want to review and get writing! Let me know your user name and I will go and have a look at it - then get rating everyone else, and they will rate you back - it can be slow to start, but it does pick up over the first few weeks if you take the time to rate others.

Start off by reading some of the reviews on there and you will get an idea of what is expected. Aim to do 3 or 4 a day - more than that and they will say you are "churning" which is not going to make you many dooyoo friends, but do your reviews well and rate plenty and you will get something good out of it.

I started at the end of November - had a slow start, but have now got to £92......if my head were not so full of fuzz right now, I would have got upto £100, so £50 a month is certainly doable which will make a difference to you!

    Look at this thread:

    and this one:

Arguably, most important thing IMO is to read this post here:

If you want information about Dooyoo, the best place to find that is Dooyoo, fomr the Guides or directly from Dooyoo themselves. Your choice. MSE is not, IMO, a great source of Dooyoo information.

Excellent advice from Camp Freddy - the dooyoo bods that I have approached on the site have been very helpful! But I have had some good advice from MSE peeps too!

  • I don't doubt that! It's just that on MSE, information gets lost very quickly, there's that much posting goes on. That big MSE thread has some top stuff in it, but who's going to read through 30-odd pages to find that one titbit of top quality info/advice?

There are also Dooyoo-related forums out there, but they're quiet at the moment and MSE members seem reticent to sign up and take part.
