Actually Brizzled, you would've been starving as the ruddy thing took aaaaaggggeeessss to cook. We got tea about half 8 and my roasties were, how to put it, exceedingly well cooked and very crunchy. Cheesecake was lush. I've got quite a bit of lamb left over so I've started a thread on the oldstyle for some ideas. At the moment I'm thinking of proper shepherds pie, shredding the meat and probably enough for a lamb stroganoff and maybe a curry if I can stretch it that far.

Another exciting day of not doing very much. OH announced that he's doing an extra shift on Sunday.

The car is making funny noises, the engine management light keeps flickering on and off, so its going back in at some point. I need to phone the garage today but OH thinks he's closed for the week. Fingers crossed he isn't and it will be something and nothing. Probably not but you never know.

I need to complete a passport form for DD2 and then I can get somebody at work to sign the picci and send that off.

Piq, still not forgotten about you, I need to pin OH down (oooh-er missus) and get some input from him.

For tongiths delights I've made a 'proper' shepherds pie with some of the lamb leftovers, it looked delish so I'll let you know later how that was, followed with more cheesecake, yum. Also trying a new recipe for dinner tomoorw as I'm in work its called Kirchiri (think I've spelt it right) its like kedgeree only without the fish and egg, got lots of spices in so hope it doesn't blow my head off.

Had a really lazy day and done hardly anything. Fell asleep on the sofa this afternoon and woke myself up snoring whihc DD2 did a pretty good impression of! Little monkey. The weather has been pants, raining all day. Working tomorrow then off for the rest of the week. Will work some long hours next week and won't take a day off.

Tea was a big hit and the gravy, if I do say so myself, LUSH! I put some swede in the mash to go on top.

I phoned the garage earlier and the friendly chap said to bring the car in and he'd check it out with his machine and then take it from there.

Also had another thought the other night, I save £2 coins and I've nearly got £400 (its my sort of horse/emergency fund) and I thought why not get some premium bonds with them. Thoughts on that peeps please.
