Have got an awful, nagging pain on the lower right side of my back. Not sure if its from doing the logs at the weekend or something else. I've rubbed some pain relief gel in and also taken some tablets but its not eased yet. DD2 nearly had to do my shoelaces for me as it was so painful. Will see how it goes and if it doesn't ease will get my self off to the docs.
Took DS2 to the orthodontist on Thursday, next time he should have them taken off and then retainers put on. Hopefully the stern talking to he got about his teeth cleaning has sunk in. Whilst we were out I'd secretly reserved BMX for him at Halfords. Its his birthday soon and this has been his hearts desire. I told him and in he went whooping and dancing about, upstairs and then he looked at the bikes and said I like that one, it was £250, I told him I couldn't afford that one and I'd got one reserved. He looked at the reserved bike and told me he didn't like it and none of the others fitted the bill. Honestly I felt so deflated. At least he told me. Anyway we went round to Argos and he found one in there but wanted to look at it first. So after much groping of the metal and a prod at the seat he decided it would do. Only £129!!!! Over budget but never mind.
Working in the workshop today, until 12.00. Nothing planned for the rest of the weekend. I'm sure some chauffering duties will pop in somewhere.

Feeling really sorry for myself as my back is agony. Had to bend down to pick up some washing I could've cried with the pain. I've taken some Nurofen and paracetamol, see if that hits the spot. Not sure what to do. I know advice is to keep moving but it hurts. Nice but slightly windy day, will attempt to get some washing on the line.

Hot water bottle and alternate with cold peas- sometimes it helps. I often found gel better than tablets. Take care.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Have managed to keep mobile all mornng and this is the first time I've sat down. Made spicey plum chutney, smells delish and everyone came in saying it smelt like Christmas!!! Both DS' have gone ferreting, DD1 has biked to her friends and DD2 is around, thinking of bribing her to dust my bedroom. Lots of washing on the line and some paperwork done.

Wonder whether cocodomol 8/500 would help - you can buy them over the counter... Hope your back improves soon... I had to laugh at the idea of bribing your kids and admit I do it all the time to get housework jobs done...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
