    Tumble weed blows through.....

Gosh its lonely on here, must be boring everybody to death! Had a really good nights sleep yesterday but felt shattered all day. DD1 went to her friends, Ds1 went over to the farm where he was lambing and has been paid, he's a happy chappy. When he came back we went to the workshop. i think DS1 was suprised how big it was and how much we'd done. I'd scanned a scale drawing of the office over to my sister as we were really struggling on the layout, she used to design offices. Anyway she came up with a really good idea. OH and I tried the layout and I don't know if it was because I was tired but we ended up having a fallout and I stropped off.

After we'd calmed down we did finally make progress. Still got lots to do. OH is back at work today so no going over to the workshop. I got another 4 chooks as well. It was like a chicken standoff, the 4 old girls took up residence outside and the new ones stayed in the hut. Not sure the old ones were impressed.

Dog has been walked, fridge is in the process of being cleaned and a load of washing on the line. DD1 has been to work and been paid, she's got more pennies than me!

Keep hearing a few loud squawks so they must be 'getting it sorted!' Have rebuilt the fridge, placed an Asda order for Tuesday which came in at £135 but will also be going to Lidls as it's DD2s party on Friday, so a few bits required for then. trying to get a mealplan roughed out in my head is proving difficult. I'm blaming Hypno as I've decided to try for 3 days with no carbs. Trouble is I've just put some spuds in to roast and they are my fave. I was going to do lasagne for tea tomorrow, but its pasta so maybe just keep some of the meat back before I build it. Right going to get the washing in, pick some rhubarb and stick my head in the hen hut and check for casualties.

Spuds sound yummy. We had lasagne last night hadnt had it for ages so it was lovely. Hope the chooks are ok, my new ones are settled now after lots of scrappy goings on. Two of them still wont roost and are determined to roost in the nestbox hence sh***y eggs, any tips?

You could try going out when its nearly dark and placing them on the roost. Think after a week they should've got the idea. My new ones have figured out they can get out of the pen. The geriatric ones don't bother. Will have to clip their wings tonight.

Last night I only ate 1 roast potato, this is from the woman with zero will power felt very proud of myself! This morning I've taken the bins out ready for tomorrow, DS1 to work and drum roll please, cleaned out the fryer. A particularly yukky job but needed doing. Chaps are all frantically finishing their homework and trying to locate PE kit.

Tis another nice day here and I must plant some more courgette and cucmber seeds as the others didn't germinate, it was exceedingly old seed. I may even tackle the raspberry bed and get that weeded. I do need some new canes as the ones left are old and there are quite a few gaps. Right off to peg the washing out.

Haven't planted the seeds. Did get the washing out and just brought it back in. Made some leek and potato soup for the chaps, had to capture the leeks as they were well on their way out. Watched 3 men and a baby and did feel quite broody, normally I'm not like that so was taken by surprise. Made lasagna for tea followed by fruit crumble and cream. DD1 has made hobnobs and I'm afraid the will power gave out and a couple could've passed my lips. Just waiting for DS1 to phone to be picked up.
