Another lazy day in the L household. Calm before the storm me thinks as next week is full on painting at the workshop. Took DD1 to her job and then went swimming with the other 3. Had scampi and salad for diiner followed by the cheesecake I made the other day, which if I say so myself is lush. Been sat out side for half an hour reading my book and came in for a cool down. I hear my book calling so I'll be back later.

I bought three new books yesterday and indulged myself in one of them today. Bliss - sunshine and a good book, can't beat it!!

New books very extravagant! Hope they're good ones.

Booked a riding lesson for myself and the DDs, hoping thye'd tidy their room wothout too much fuss. Wishful thinking! DD2 is treading a very fine line and may not be coming. Still furious with her and not sure if its down to being overtired but still at nearly 11 she knows how not to speak to me.

Got everywhere hoovered, tea is half made ready to be finished off. Chicken and broccoli bake with veggies. Invited over to the same friends to play tennis, at least OH can come and I've got a few tinnies in so should be anice afternoon.

DS1 is supposed to only be working this morning not sure how long that will be. Got a list of things to achieve this week workshop wise so the week isn't wasted.

Yesterday was really good, and Oh managed to have some chilling out time. I'm starting to feel myself getting wound up by the workshop. I feel as if we're not getting anything done. I thought there was a recession on, several companies phoned up for doors but none of them have bothered to phone back, feel as if I'm wading through treacle, OH seems incapable of making a decision and I'm coming up to the boil.

Today has been a lot better. Took the DDs and myself riding, youngest one managed a canter and was exceedingly pleased with herself, oldest one not confident yet. Picked up DD1s bike as it had been mended and only cost a fiver! Very pleased with that. OH and DS2 had got the bare bones of the flooring down by the time we arrived back. Us girls painted the workshop. Finally somebody managed to come to give us a quote for the doors, having a meeting with the landlord tomorrow regarding the cost and if he's going to put some cash in, fingers crossed for that one. DD2, DS2 and I left a bit earlier as there was nothing else for us to do until OH had finished the floor.

Other good news, I got paid today. Its nice to see my account incredit, no matter how brief. Got my car to tax tomorrow.

How MSE am I? Just bought the turkey for Christams and it was only £18 reduced from £36. Insert smug git smiley!

Yesterday was another busy day at the workshop. Got the office area painted, which needed 2 coats. DD2 was great and did lots of painting. In fact the chaps have been amazing and really helpful. DS1 hasn't seen it yet and is feeling slightly miffed.

Going to watch a bit of the wedding and then probably have another session at the workshop. I think we've made progress on the roller shutter doors and the internal ones. BT are booked for next Friday which is DD2s birthday. OH has a quote for some signs but until we've got a phone number that will have to wait.

For DD2s birthday I've said she can have a sleepover and take over the living room with her friends. Present wise she's getting her ears pierced at the beginning of the summer holidays and probably a few other bits.
