Boss never mentioned meal out so I haven't said anything. Spent yesterday shadowing the lady whos leaving and ended up working over 9 and a half hours, so felt pooped last night. Legs, arms and abs are aching so some mucles are being discovered. Hopefully doing some hours on Saturday night, money from this will go into DS1s college pot.

Day off today but not sure what we are doing as OHs tooth is playing up. He's taking antibs but not finished the course yet. Need to do some serious cleaning as I feel as if I'm drowning again. OH has pushed the hoover round, its the dusting, bathrooms and the skirting boards that need a scrub, kitchen floor needs mopping. Might even get the mutt out for a walk.

Things are certainly looking quite positive from here, lucielle! Such a shame that the cleaning fairies haven't been in to help you out though!

Had a phone call from work, think meal is to be rescheduled for next week. Potential meeting tomorrow.

OH and I have cleaned this morning, hoovered, mopped, dusted, 3 loads of washing done, our bed stripped washed and dried and the mutt has been walked!

Currently trying to sort business insurance and ebay listings, fun fun, fun.

Got DD1s options meeting tonight, so a quick turn around later and booked the boys in to be sheared tomorrow night. Then I've got DS2s packing to do for ski trip but told him I will not venture into his room until its tidy. They can do their rooms whilst we're at school.

Knew things would go t1ts up shortly and this feeling of positivity was to good to last. OH had a phone call whilst we were at school, his hours are going to be cut, completely out of the blue. New chap they've just taken on will be finished and I'm not sure if this is the beginning of the end. It does mean the new hours OH is going to be on will give him more time to grow the business so it needs to be fertilized with something strong. We both need to focus and regroup our thoughts and get this bloody debt paid off.

Mind you it dosen't help when the 2 youngest come home with letters from school saying there will be a geography trip to Iceland and this is a wonderful opportunity for them and it will cost £1200 per child thankyou very much. £2400!!!!! thats a family holiday and more besides, in fact its nearly DS1s college fees. So I think it will be mum and dad say no.

Ain't life grand!! Started the week feeling positive and now feel suicidal.

Anybody whos been following my trials and tribulations may recall that last year I made contact with the environmental health due to our exceedingly damp living conditions, despite many letters (begging) the land agents to do something. As the saying goes be careful what you wish for. The EH made contact today to say that they will be sending out a letter. He was telephoning to warn us, that as we are on an unsecured tenancy we could be given notice to quit. Most of the work needing doing is major ie membranes put into floors after being dug out, plasterboard ripped down to have the damproof sorted, so it would make it even more uninhabitable than it is. It seems to be a double edged sword the living conditons making us ill and now potentially going to be homeless. As the EH have been called in they cannot 'drop' the case. I am seriously worried and don't know where to turn or what to do.

I've got OH wondering about with his hand clamped to his chops as he's in agony with toothache. He's on double strength antibs and been to the dentist and had the tooth drilled and drained. He goes back on Thursday to have the !!!!!! pulled out. Managed to get some of DS2s packing done and the rest is being washed even though I've been reminding (nagging) all week to get whatever he needs washed.

    Oh Sh*t L!

Is there any chance the Landlord will do the work, although could you even live there while he did it? Does he have other houses?

I am so sorry this is happening x
