My day off today and the schools are shut. I'm in the good yummy mummy books as I purchased 2 sledges yesterday (they were for Christmas) and I've let the chaps have them today. I've also found DD2s missing phone. I have been trying to avoid washing the living room carpet but the dog has helped me to get on with it as shes widdled on it.

Still very busy at work and I hope I can get in tomorrow. Got DS2 at the orthodontist on Monday so that will be an early finish. Thinking about cancelling horse riding on Tuesday so I can work longer. Partners have been invited to the works Christmas party so that'll be good. Off to make some soup.

Everyone would need to go and see a therapist if i was in a bikini¬!!! Actually its days like today when I'm glad I don't have horses, the thoguth of getting the car and driving is filling me with terror. OH is off to work in aboutn an hour. I have a cunning plan for tomorrow, if its bad he can drive me in when he comes home in the morning and then get me later as he 'does' snow so much better than me.

DS1 has wrecked his school shoes, the sole has come off. To be fair he didn't get new ones in Septmeber so they have lasted over 12 months. If we can get into town on Saturday I'll get him some then. He got new rugby boots last weekend.

Schools out! Bus driver for the oldies phoned he's not chancing it. Middle school is shut so thats the youngest ones home as well. OH hasn't made it home from work yet so my cunning plan from the above post isn't going to work. Must achieve more with my day than yesterday. Thinking about making the pastry for mince pies and freezing it, Christmas cakes even though I'm not keen on them I usually enjoy making them and I'm thinking about a nice jam sponge with homemade custard for tonights pudding. Probably a million points.

Paid £100.75 off the debt. After I get paid I think for the rest of December I'll go down to minimums as OHs wages get paid in a strange way over the festive period, he'll get paid on the 18th and then nothing till the 7th January which will be basic and then all the hours are worked out.

Have made a c0ck up with the Christmas cake and forgot to put the spices in. Bu&&er. For the first time I made drop scones and they were delish smothered in hm lemon curd. Chaps polished them off.

OH has managed to get home and is in bed. Think an afternoon of mindless telly is on the cards.

Re Xmas cake, are you going to feed it with brandy or similar? If so I wonder if it would be poss to dissolve some spices in the liquid before feeding? Perhaps that would give an uneven spicyness though? It could be a bit hit and miss like whether you'd get the sixpence in the pudding, would you get a spicy bit in the cake! Maybe it would be better to spice up the marzipan and /or icing and pretend it's a new trendy recipe!

  • L - just caught up on your tribulations, sorry you have so much on your plate.

Don't give up on Fat Club, I haven't been for two weeks and yesterday morning I decided to really make an effort and try 'very hard' for a week. It is hard and its frustrating when you don't lose but in the same way debt is frustrating at the slow pace of its disappearance, weight is still coming down and that can only be a good thing! Hang in there and we will be skinny debt free minnys together!

There is no point in negative thought, it takes up time and energy which could be used in a positive, happy way!

Awww thanks Red. Another £10 off the overdraft, thinking of upping the rate in the New Year to £20 per week and then it'll be gone by the end of 2011. That's the largest overdraft then 3 left to tackle.
