I agree that a superb holiday will be of great benefit to you all on so many levels.
And in the grand scheme of things, it will put your DFD back by a relatively short period of time only.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Not sure, as long as its all inclusive and something to keep the chaps happy. Have been looking at euro camps but that means I'll still have to cook etc. Having cold sweats at the thought of parting with all that money (credit).

Plans for today include getting dressed (always a good start). Risking pegging washing out, weather looks a bit pants. Looking at holibobs and potentially booking one, though I am getting cold feet now and getting my eyebrows waxed. Also going to drop our duvet off for dry cleaning.
Took the chaps and a friend to see Robin Hood last night. Boys enjoyed it and the girls thought it was ok and OH managed to stay awake for all of it!

Exciting stuff about the holiday. Sounds like you haven't had a good family break for a long time? You have certainly made huge inroads into your debt but children grow up so fast and many won't go away with parents in their later teenage years!

Eyebrows have been de-forested and are probably the slimmest part of me I have and I can raise them very elegantly. Have dragged OH kicking and screaming into 2 travel agents but sadly not booked anything. The main one is Tunisia, all inclusive for a whopping £2794.

No, he is still thinking about houses, which we have a couple lined up for viewing. I would really like a break. We are going to London for a week, to stay at my sisters whilst she's away. He said he was looking forward to going and asked me. I replied not really because I'll still be cooking and cleaning only in a very nice house, so where's the break? Also paranoid that something might get broken, bearing in mind they shop at Harrods!

Hi Lucielle - I think if you need the holiday go for it!
My OH wanted an all inclusive this year but I've said next year but we are still going to Wales for a week in a cottage. Holidays are important - because they are a break - and we all need that sometimes.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I am useless and weak willed, why do I sabotage everything? Last night had no children (unheard of) and also no OH as he was on nights. Decided to blitz our bedroom and made a start on the dining room and was doing ok. Opened a bottle of vino and then several (million) bags of crisps later went to bed. Why can't I stop? I do this every time! Feel pants this morning and !!!!!! off with myself. Got weigh in on Monday. Its not as if I've been doing it for yonks and got that excuse. Nearly lost a stone (several million to go). Will power of a gnat!
