OH is back to normalish hours. DD1 is ok and has informed me that she is in a x country event against that school on Friday. Should be interesting.

LHB, no fresh stuff at the mo. Will have to see what comes overnight.

Cooked gammon in the slow cooker for tea with cheese sauce, mash and roasties, carrots, peas and corn. Stuffed.

Ds1 has got his first module exam tomorrow.

Work have been really good about the time off and will let me work the hours up. Got a chap coming to service the boiler on Friday.

Taxi, a bit of pork stock, carrots, onions (celery if I have it) throw it in and and the gammon and leave til cooked. I keep the veggies and stock and then make soup with it, also in the slow cooker (soak some broth mix and throw in).

Thanks so much for that..willl make that.
    Just one morequestion please?
Is it just enough stock to cover the veg that the gammon joint sits on?

You'll be glad to know I've ordered a slow cooker book from Amazon....so won't sound so daft asking questions ...lol

Ask away Taxi. Yes I usually just cover the veg.

Another crappy day. OH 'helpfully' moved the car onto the verge and now I can't shift the bloody thing. Its just wheen spinning. I haven't got DS1 to drive so i can push and the other 3 can't shift it. Their school bus never arrived so another day off work. Got friend to let the nags out but not sure if I can get down to get them back in. This is really getting beyond the joke.

More positive note, this morning I have hoovered, done the ironing, put some washing on the airers and scrubbed the fryer. Helped DD2 to bake a chocolate cake. I really must do some productive computer work.

At least you have chocolate cake to look forward to.

I'm chowing my way through Mexican Enchilladas for lunch. Made enough yesterday to feed six but ate half for dinner and am having the other half for lunch (third and final portion is in the microwave at the mo). All the extra excercise shovelling snow is making me absolutely ravenous.

Kids are back at school. One school stayed open again but only had 5 pupils, a head teacher and one other teacher. No one else could make it in thanks to the knockon effects of other schools being shut. The DDs school was only half full this morning, kids who could walk to school weren't there, not that they're all ill as two of them were observed building a snowman in their back garden from their classroom window. Those who have turned up are mostly from remote areas where 4x4 owning farming parents really need to be out seeing to animals wherever humanly possible.
