Hey all, I'm in my last year of student accommodation and I decided to take the job as Senior Student so I could get discounted accommodation in the centre of London in return for a night-in per week (patrolling etc). How long will Homemade Jams and Curds keep?
If I make them today and intend to give them as Christmas gifts? Is there any tips out there about how to make them last longer? Do I need to seal them specially or just put them in a reused jam jar which is what i've heard a number of people on here do. Thanks in advance!!

Christmas (Fairy) Lights?
Now, this isn't as easy as it sounds, but I want some new christmas lights. But - I don't want plain bulbs, or any chunky, kitsch, modern lights - I want some old-fashioned delicate and pretty lights like my Great Gran used to have - victorian lanterns and the such. I've been hunting for years - I found one Pifco set about…

Cheap but nice necklaces for a cracker
I am making crackers this year, if you hadn't seen my other post. I am trying to do three different types of crackers, so there is an element of surprise in them, but make them more personal than the standard shop bought cracker. I was thinking of trying to buy a nice necklace for each of the women. I have a 29 year old,…

Any tips for not using a credit card at xmas?

I am going to have a go at making some christmas tree decorations this year. I have got some plastic moulds but does anyone know where I can get coloured foil to wrap them in. Thought it would look a little nicer than tin foil. Many thanks What do other people hang on their trees that you can make yourself?

I don't believe it
My sister put her Christmas decorations up last Wednesday, I am ashamed she is my sister. Far too early in my opinion, but my nephew has decided the little card hanging pegs are for his birthday cards :rotfl:
