Perfume

I have a bottle of perfume that i would like to pass on as a christmas present as i am not keen myself (its Dune audewatsit). It is unopened, and in cellophane, but it is about 5 years old... will it have gone off?

Perfume does have a shelf life but not sure if that is when it's opened.

However, 2 years ago I tracked down some of my favourite perfume (well, body lotion- Venezia) which has been discontinued. I bought 2 bottles and it was shipped from Hong Kong(including shipping I paid just over £50). Now it looked and smelled authentic when it arrived, so I cannot moan about that. BUT when I unwrapped the boxes and opened them up they had a distinct plastic smell from the bottle packaging.

    I never did wear it.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.
