S&S ISA > LISA? Advice please
I opened a S&S ISA just over a year ago. It's not done that well so far, currently I'm +4.9% (although I realise it is way too soon to be judging performance). I'm now wondering whether I made a mistake in not opening a LISA instead. I've thought about transferring into a S&S LISA but I'm no sure the risk is worth it when…

What should I look out for with Buy to Let?
I’m considering investing in a BTL and looking for some advice. I currently am not an owner occupier due to the fact of house prices bring much higher than I could afford on a single person mortgage. I have recently inherited some money and am looking at a BTL in an area that I know very well that is much cheaper to buy a…

Marcus sort code.
I'm always super careful setting up a savings account with a new bank. Have just set up a Marcus. I can't find the sort code they gave me when I Google it. I assume as it's an American bank, it won't show up as a UK sort code? But it's not showing up at all in a Google search? What sort code & account number has anyone…

Strategy for selling?
I shall need to take quite a lot of cash (say 15 % of the value of my portfolio) by the end of the year; then another 20% some months into the new year. Should I simply sell what as required the day before I need the money, or follow some more considered strategy? (A high proportion of my investments have underlying assets…

Is there any way I can access my money early from Secure Trust Notice Account?
Hi, I'm really hoping someone can advise me on this. Last year I received some inheritance money, and this caused my main source of income (Employment and Support Allowance) to be stopped due to the amount taking me over the savings threshold. At the same time, my outgoings increased by nearly £300 per month, as I lost my…

Goldman Sachs MARCUS savings account
Two concerns:- 1. Not available as a joint account. Martin runs with the crowd in not showing whether or not this facility is available on savings accounts. I had to waste time applying in my name, only to find, at the end, that there was no progression to add a joint account holder's details. Could not clarify first by…

Global economies affecting global index funds
Firstly - apologies for the rather basic question. My portfolio is heavily dominated by a simply global ETF - Vanguard FTSE All-World UCITS ETF. This fund is pretty much dominated by the US - 54.2% of its market allocation exposure to be exact. In the event that the US economy gradually starts to lose its global dominance,…

Hi Guys, Apologies in advance for the long post, looking for a bit of a health check on my current situation and if my strategy going forward sounds in anyway sensible. Saving to repay HTB equity loan
Hi Newbie here looking for some advice. We have a large Help to Buy Equity Loan that will start incurring interest in just over four years. How to get exposure to Canada?
Hi all, On Fidelity, I can't seem to find any ETF's or funds that focus on Canada. I prefer index funds. All of the north american funds have say 90% US and 10% Canada. Does anyone know how to get around this as I am already overweight in USA? Thanks :)
