Marcus sort code.

I'm always super careful setting up a savings account with a new bank. Have just set up a Marcus. I can't find the sort code they gave me when I Google it. I assume as it's an American bank, it won't show up as a UK sort code? But it's not showing up at all in a Google search? What sort code & account number has anyone used? Was everything ok? Thanks.

  • It is a UK registered financial institution with full FSCS protection. The SC is as Rheumatoid has stated above.

I have made transfers in and out with it and had no problems - all very speedy in fact.

Try the attached link with the code that Rheumatoid has given above

I am sure also that it is on the Marcu UK website and their online banking page.

  • Why make a new thread when there was one on the very page that contains the thread-starter?

Re-read the OP. They have the sort code but decided to Google it and couldn't find it mentioned anywhere.

Never Google bank phone numbers or account details to verify them. Scammers put fake details on the web and try and get them highly ranked in Google.

Thank you, Jamei305. That's good advice.
  • Hi, I also recently set up an online Marcus account and tried to google the sort code for reassurance. Like you, I couldn’t find any info. I rang Barclays and asked them (being a customer of theirs) if they would investigate for me. The woman I spoke to asked me to hold, then came back to me and told me the sort code I’d given her came up as Goldman Sachs. So I felt more reassured after that.
